LOL @ Ditka - The most impressive thing Leinart did was stay in school his senior year because he wanted to get his education

Yeah Coach, that ballroom dancing class went a long way towards that degree.

And before anyone asks, YES it was against the first team D...
Just got off the phone with a friend watching this. He says the Bears look pathetic. He thinks the Cards would take them in a regular season game. He said Grossman is a joke, telegraphs everything, forces everthing, in way over his head. Cards second stringers owning Bears first team D? Accurate?

I spit my beer up when Ditka said of Leinart and his eye operation at age 3; "I'll tell you what, it did more for his looks, he's a pretty cute guy"!? WOW, never thought I'd hear those words uttered by Da Coach.

Ron, I think Berrian will start the year at #2WR but they are looking at Davis there too.
I would second that. Davis will get on the field but Berrian will start the season at #2. He has good speed and has shown the willingness and ability to make the tough catches. If he can finally stay healthy, he will be a good NFL receiver.

Dude, the Bears game plan is so vanilla, most Pop Warner coaches would be raising eyebrows. You think they're going to show anything to this team when they're schedule to play--FOR REAL--in a month or two? Come October 16th, the Cardinals will resume to be the Cardinals and the Bears will hand them their @#$ for supper. By then, Warner will be out with yet another injury and little Matty Leinart will have to line up against the fiercest D in the league (what he saw tonight was a cheap paper copy of what he'll see in October). And Urlacher, Briggsy and the boys in Blue will welcome him to the NFL with open arms. :football:

So how long do you guys think Rex can hold off Griese? I need a bye week replacement for week 6. Griese a safe bet by then?

I'd like to know what's going on with Thomas Jones. I watched some of the game last night and am I the only one that can't believe they didn't run him more!? 4 FREAKING carries?! I don't understand how a coach can possibly get an idea of where his (possibly) starting RB is healthwise after a somewhat lingering injury by only giving him 4 carries! If they are still concerned his hammy isn't right HE SHOULDN"T BE OUT THERE!!! Am I missing something? Bears O could be a train wreck.
