Aside from Turner, who is the best backup RB in the NFL? (1 Viewer)

Turner is starting somewhere whether it's this year or next. After he's gone, who do you think will be considered the best backup in the league? Not in terms of productive when called upon but featured back quality.

It could be Ricky Williams if reinstated?

Currently NFL eligible I will say MJD behind Fred Taylor.

My next choice would probably be Marion Barber III.

I assume the question should not include those in a RBBC, but rather those who don't get much playing time. Otherwise, it's Reggie Bush.

I'd probably go with Betts, but maybe Adrian Peterson (CHI) right now, out of those who are a true backup.

Well if you want to call what he did starting. I thought he was getting the "D" a little tired making all those moves behind the line so Barber could come in and score some points, but hey you know how Parcells opererated, when in prior years Julies would ask to come out and Bill would make him play. Cowboys are fortunate to have a tandum of JJ the Juker and Barber cant blocker. But I would be more than happy to have Barber on my team, blocking or no blocking.

Actually, I agree with this under ideal conditions: If, and I realize this is a huge if.... if Perry is healthy, he would be the most prolific backup in the league, and he could easily generate production in the way Reggie Bush does alongside Duece.

not this year but last year and previous seasons brandon jacobs was a standout to me. his ypc touchdowns and just his sheer size are all impressive.
