I was on a flight from Charlotte to Dallas the other day and sat next to a 25 year old girl and 60 year old man. She lives in KC, graduated from K-State, works in medicine. He is a developer from Charlotte, UNC grad, very successful from what I could tell. He was heading to Aspen for a week long ski trip with his wife and 3 daughters.
Politics came up at one point during the flight and neither said they were sure who they were going to support. As talk turned to Trump they both said he is brash but if he is the nominee they would most likely vote for him.
I also have talked to multiple Mexicans (American citizens of Mexican descent) in the SW who fully support Trump. They love his tough talk on illegals.
Sure Trump has locked up the 'Murica white demographic, but it is naive to think that his message does not resonate outside of that group.
