Assani's Poker Thread (2 Viewers)

I wasn't sure if you were going to post about all that or not. I hope that you talked to Robert about what you and I spoke about.Glad to hear that DD is working "with" you in some respect. Amanda and I have been concerned, so i'm really glad to hear this, GB.Keep in touch and let me know how the housing situation is working out.As an aside, I really think that you should be able to roll in the money at $1/$2NL online. I'm 6-tabling it and my hourly is in excess of $100/hr, so I think that you should be plenty fine.Just know that you have a lot of support, both here and at 2p2 and if there's something I/we can help with, bro, let us know! :thumbup:Good luck and kick ###!
thanks man....I'll definitely keep in touch.

Ok, so we have 2 big news items today, one bad and one good. But first let me brag that I'm down to 20% body fat from 22% 4 weeks. ago. Anyway, onto the poker news.....My roomate Robert has decided to not stay in Vegas. He hasn't been doing well with poker and isn't happy here. This hurts me a lot. Financially, it hurts me because he owes me a decent amount of money and I was under the impression that I'd be getting it back any day now(I was actually supposed to have it before we even moved out here). Over 1/2 of my bankroll is now gone due to that. Moreover, I now have to pay for rent all by myself. I'm going to start looking into one bedroom apartments immediately, and if anyone knows of anything good in the Vegas area then let me know. Socially, its a bit tough since he was my only real friend out here so far, but I'm less concerned about this as I can meet people easily. In a total coincidence, David Dodds(co-owner of footballguys) sent me a PM the very next day offering to stake me. I have been very clear that I didn't want to take the easy way out by being staked and that I wanted to build my bankroll up myself starting at the lower limits. However, I like David's offer due to a few reasons:1. I'll be starting out at $1/2 NLHE online, so I don't think I'm "cheating" by being staked since I'm not jumping up in levels.2. The situation with Robert calls for some drastic measures3. It is a 100% risk free offer. He has bankrolled me about $2500 to start and if I lose then it is completely on him. We're still ironing out the details, but it looks like its going to work. If I accept, then I may have to stop the daily updates here, as I don't want to publicly display any info without his permission. However, I'll still occassionally be playing live and I'll continue to post some hands and stories.I'll be playing in the PLO8 WCOOP and 2nd chance event on the 25th, so I'll probably start playing under David either on the evening of the 25th or the morning of the 26th.
GL with the house hunt Assani. When I was down some of the guys at the table were taliking about 1 bedroom apartments close to the strip vs houses in those newer subdivisions on the outskirts. Dont know nof these guys were accurate, but they seemed to think it was about the same rental price and some very nice places if you dont mind the drive.

This seems like a nice quite place for you to stay. There should be plenty of single womens here to cook you some home cooked meals. I bet you would own the place.

I wish I gathered more intel, but I met a guy from England that stays in Vegas for 3 months at a time and he rents a 1BR or Studio type setup in a gated community near Hard Rock Cafe - sorry I don't have more details for you, I really should have pressed him for it when I met him when we were out there in June.

Found an apartment right by the south end of the strip and by UNLV. Its decent...one bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom. Only a 6 month lease, so I won't be staying long. $610/month + utilities. It has a community pool, which I like a lot. But I have to use public laundry rooms, which I hate.

I've started to take all my money offline since Dodds is staking me now. But I only had around $700 in cash on me yesterday and I was told that I needed a little more than that by Friday in order to move in. So for the first time in my life, I went to the casino absolutely needing to win(techinically, I could've always borrowed from my parents but I really don't want to do that). It was a bit scary, but I won $100+ on my very first hand as I hit a set and I won near $300 in just about 2 hours before leaving. Leaves me with an extra $200 for food, and hopefully I can get all of my money offline within a week or so and I'll start buying some basic furniture and stuff.

Had a great first day under Dodds(won $1100+) and a bad 2nd day(lost $600 or so). Going to start playing now.

Oh and one other brag...I'm now under 200 lbs, which was a major goal of mine. I'm not sure what my next fitness goal will be, but I'm working out every day, so I'll just keep it up and hopefully get in better and better shape.

I know your friend owed you some cash. But what did I miss. I thought you had like 10k in gambling money when you went out there. i have not seen where you lost that kind of scratch.

Assani, dig your post and updates. I have a question. Why do you need to be staked? Every update I read seems to be that your up a couple of hundred dollars every day. It seems like you should be making six figures easy.

He's said he made maybe $2500 in the past 2 months.

Damn, that sounds pretty cheap for a decent place. Is the UNLV campus any good?

Didn't have as much as 10K just for gambling....maybe about 1/2 that to start. Plus there were some unexpected costs such as a new computer and I paid $800 for 4 years of gym membership(will save like $2500 long term, but obviously I wasn't planning on spending $800 up front).5 days ago I thought I had about 9K, but I was including the money that Robert owed me in that figure because he was telling me that I'd be getting it any day. I'm obviously not going to be seeing that for a while now. Moreover I thought that I would be splitting rent...and now I'm paying that all by myself.I don't "need" to be staked, but Dodds offered a completely risk free scenario to me, and having just lost 1/2 my bankroll due to that I decided to take it. If he hadn't offered it, then I wouldn't have sought out any staking arrangement though.

Assani, dig your post and updates. I have a question. Why do you need to be staked? Every update I read seems to be that your up a couple of hundred dollars every day. It seems like you should be making six figures easy.
I've had a few losing days for sure.My friend borrowed money and can't pay it back, and I lost 1/2 my bankroll due to that. Otherwise I'd be doing very well.Being staked is just about comfort for me right now. Dodds is staking me until January. After that I'm 100% confident that I'll be fine out on my own.Being staked, I now feel as if I have almost zero risk of ruin, which is what I think any good pro should strive to constantly have at all times.

To be honest, I don't know. The "main" two available to American players are Full Tilt and Poker Stars. Those are also regarded as the two toughest sites to play on as well. I play on Full Tilt exclusively, right now, but as I move up in stakes, I'm looking to start playing other sites as well (Cake, amoung others), so that I can still table select well. But at the limits I play ($200NL), I'm still able to 6 table it and keep table selecting well. And Assani, glad to hear it. Just don't force it bro. The money is going to come. We all know that. Just don't force it. We both know that people are just waiting to give you/us their money, so let them. No need to push and force things.

GL and keep me posted!

I could never handle the uncertainty of this. Makes me sick just reading it. Wishing you the best, Assani. I hope you keep up the blog here because it's certainly one of the most interesting things going.

Only been out here for one month exactly today.During the 5 days I was here in August I was up $1051.I gave an estimate of September a few days ago, but I might as well add everything up exactly right now........During the 26 days of September that I played I'm up $3483(+$1000 in rakeback/bonuses, +$309 in NFL Wagers, +$2174 in poker). My estimates a few days ago probably didn't include my big day of +$1400 on 9/22/07. Also it really hurts to think that I lost over $2000 on 9/11...definitely should've dropped down in stakes a little sooner there. All that doesn't include the $600 or so that I've won under Dodds so far. It also doesn't include the $800 or so that I've made on September Full Tilt Rakeback which I'll get during the first week of October.

The money is going to come. We all know that. Just don't force it. We both know that people are just waiting to give you/us their money, so let them. No need to push and force things.
The problem is that more and more players are thinking the exact same thing, are talented players, and they're the ones Assani is expecting to make a living off of. Someone has to lose. Are there really as many really fishy games as there were 3 years ago?

Online poker is much much tougher than live poker....I'd say that if you can beat $1/2 online then you can beat at least $5/10 live and maybe higher. Of course there are some different skillsets needed, so thats not always 100% accurate.I have no idea of your personal skill level, but for most recreational players who care about winning money(not just out to have a good time) I'd advise against playing online unless it becomes legislated and all the bad players start playing again.

The campus isn't bad...the apartment isn't anything special at all though...I won't be staying there for longer than 6 months if I can help it. I'd say that $610 is fair considering that it has a pretty good location(for me at least).

Online poker is much much tougher than live poker....
I'd say I'm an average up and down 1/2 NL on-line player, but 1/2 NL live at the Borgata is money.

Hes getting a real job and will pay me back ASAP. I trust him that his heart is in the right place; He just is very irresponsible about certain things. He has actually owned me this money for a while(was $8000 at one point) and has continually put it off. It got down to $3000, but then a week or two ago he started making excuses for why he didn't have access to money and borrowing more promising to pay me back within a day or two....I'm pretty pissed about him lying about his financial situation to me; I'm not upset at him at all for not doing well with poker- losing streaks happen and I can't fault him, as he certainly wasn't losing on purpose.

I second this. Lots of guys, myself included, make a post about poker and it dies a quick death. Assani's roll on and on, because he is interesting and has a compelling amount of honesty, occasional delusion, goofiness and intelligence. It seems like only yesterday when he was posting his results about $200 SNG's. I feel like we have watched Assani grow up on this board. I hope everything works out the way you want to it too.

Not many fishy games...nearly everyone is at least a "thinking player" who tries his very best to concentrate and win....but they're still beatable. God I wish I could go back in time. I was talking to Dodds the other day and I told him that if I could go back to 2004 knowing what I do now, I'd be a millionaire within a year. The games were so ridiculously soft. I only 4 tabled and I cleaned up. If I 10 tabled and started my own affiliate business, I think I could've made well over a million in just 2004 alone. The $215 single table tournaments then played just like the $11s do now...no exaggeration at all. And $1/2 is now tougher than $10/20 was imo.

 thanks to both of you

RFW, I wish this forum still had some of the old threads where you absolutely owned me in a few poker arguments when I first started playing. I've never lacked confidence/arrogance, and you were always very patient with me, so I thank you for that.

Before driving to Vegas the longest I had ever driven was the five hour drive from Maryland to New York. I thought that it was going to be absolutely miserable to be alone in a car for so long, but I was pleasantly surprised. I went into it with a fairly positive attitude and aside from hearing "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie at least 1000 times on the radio it wasn't all that bad. Not to mention, I made phenomenal time. From my footballguys blog:

Made it to Vegas late Sunday night. I left Gaithersburg, Maryland on 3:00 PM EST on Saturday and arrived in Las Vegas at 11:00 PM EST on Sunday. Entire trip was 35 hours(probably 31.5 hours driving, 2.5 hours sleeping in my car at a rest point, and 1 hour at gas stations). I really felt as if I could've made it without sleeping at all and driven even longer too if it weren't for the darkness of the night...its just so much easier to stay awake and drive when its light outside.
For the next few weeks, my life was poker. I didn't even do much on my birthday except for going out to dinner with Robert. I was greatly enjoying Vegas and being able to play in so many new card rooms. I started cross posting my blog on allvegaspoker: LINK, which is a pretty interesting read because in addition to the daily updates, I was giving my reviews of every card room and having a "hand of the day" for discussion.

I was playing $1/2 NLHE live and $1/2 PLO8 online, although I took a shot at $2/4 online , ran well, and took a shot at $3/6 before losing $2000 in a single day, which forced me all the way back to $1/2. Nevertheless that was one of my only mis-steps. Overall, things were going very well. I even achieved my fitness goal of getting under 200 lbs on September 17. I found the following post from my blog which was in response to a direct question one of my readers had asked me. I think it sums up my attitude at the time quite well:

Nah, I don't mind answering that at all man, and feel free to ask me anything about my poker career....I have gone through quite a bit of ups and downs. For the first two years of my career before I met Robert, I didn't really have any close friends that were also poker pros, so much of what I learned was self taught. Now as far as improving actual poker skill, I had tons of resources such as here, twoplustwo, books, etc. But nobody really taught me anything about money management, and having grown up relatively middle/lower class(dad never paid child support, mom is legally blind and did daycare out of our house to pay bills) having tons of money was quite the culture shock to me. To put it mildly, I was just stupid. I played too high for my bankroll and I was arrogant enough to think that I was +EV in literally any game(I've sat with Johnny Chan waiting for a game to fill up and I asked him if he wanted to play heads up!!!).

Now I still have considered myself somewhat successful. I've paid my rent for 3 years doing this, I have a pretty sick computer set up with 2 24 inch monitors and fancy technology, I've bought nice clothes, I've partied a lot(probably dropped $15-20K in Vegas last summer just out partying), I have a $2500 guitar and sleep number bed, etc.....but I havn't saved one penny, which does indeed suck.

So basically to answer your question: Downswings, playing over my bankroll, not investing money, and buying lots of stuff is why my bankroll is so low now.

But I do think that I've grown as both a person and a poker player through all of this, and I think I have a much clearer view of the long term now. I view this move to Vegas as my last chance really. If I ever go broke again, then I'm getting a real job and quitting poker. But thats not going to happen, and I will be successful. I'm determined to make it happen. I'm positive that I could easily get people to back me right now and I could play much higher stakes- I have turned down offers for this already. Thats not what I want to do. I want to build up myself, and I want to do things the right way this time.

On 9/11 I had a bad run at $3/6 and I dropped down to $1/2 as a result. It sucks, but I'll be ok. I've already earned about $700 in rakeback for September, and I have quite a few points at the Full Tilt and PokerStars stores, so theres that too.

If I get wiped out, then as I said, I'll get a real job. But thats not going to happen.
But then one day near the end of September, thing changed drastically. My roommate Robert called me over and told me that we needed to talk. He proceeded to tell me the following:

-He had been lying to me about how well he was doing with poker and he was close to broke

-He was not going to be able to pay me back the money he owed me like he had promised

-He was leaving Vegas to go back East and I'd be on my own to find and pay for housing(he had initially told me that for the first month or two he'd go so far as to pay 100% of our rent if I really needed it until I got myself in a better financial situation)

The news completely blindsided me. At the time I forgave Robert and told him to just try to pay me back whenever he could. However, he has not only never paid me back, but he has also borrowed and never paid back money from our mutual friend Kent, scammed a few 2p2 posters out of quite a bit of money, and completely stopped returning my phone calls. As I've told Kent before in some of our conversations about it, it isn't even the money that upsets me. He could've come to me at any time and said "I'm really sorry, but I don't think I'll ever be able to pay you back" and we'd still be friends to this day. Yet hes chosen to completely turn his back on me. Not only that, but due to my association with him, I had to go through a bit to clear my own name on 2p2 since many assumed that I had something to do with his scams.

I was now hurt in many ways. For one, I now lived 3000 miles from where I had lived my entire life and I didn't know a single person out here. But even worse, I now was in dire financial shape since I was fully expecting Robert to pay me back as he had promised.

I grew up as a devout Christian, but I've gone through my fair share of doubts and skepticism through my life. I fully understand the stumbling blocks that come through accepting something through faith. However, at many times in my life I've felt as if thing were simply too big of a coincidence for God not to be involved and what follows is one of those times: I had not posted a single thing in my blog about Robert or about my sudden financial worries. Yet literally the very next day I found a PM on footballguys from David Dodds, the co-owner of the site. It turns out that he had been reading my blog and was wondering interested in staking me. Now in the past I had turned down all staking offers as I simply wasn't comfortable playing with other people's money. However, a combination of factors made this different. Most obvious was my dire financial situation, but I was also happy to know that the person who would be staking me was very secure financially and that he wouldn't be hurt at all by losing money on me. And finally he offered me a deal that was extremely generous on his part. Basically, I didn't even think of not accepting it.

Dodds gave me $2500 on PokerStars to play with. That was the extent of the stake, so I started out at $.5/1. I withdrew my own money for expenses and to play live. The plan was to play online under Dodds during the week and then play live with my own money on the weekends when the games were the softest.

I ended up finding a small one bedroom apartment right by the strip on UNLV campus. It wasn't the nicest area around and it was seriously the smallest place I've ever lived in. I didn't even have a tv. However, this was all probably a blessing in disguise as it forced me to do nothing but play poker. In fact, looking back, I definitely consider having gone through all of this to be a blessing. I think that I grew as a poker player more during this time than I ever had. I think I finally learned to appreciate and understand bankroll management, game selection, managing one's own ego, and so on.

A blog post of mine from around this time, which I believe fully shows just how little money I had:

Found an apartment right by the south end of the strip and by UNLV. Its decent...one bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom. Only a 6 month lease, so I won't be staying long. $610/month + utilities. It has a community pool, which I like a lot. But I have to use public laundry rooms, which I hate. I only had around $700 in cash on me yesterday and I was told that I needed a little more than that by Friday in order to move in. So for the first time in my life, I went to the casino absolutely needing to win(techinically, I could always borrow more from my parents but I really don't want to do that). It was a bit scary, but I won $100+ on my very first hand as I hit a set and I won near $300 in just about 2 hours before leaving. Leaves me with an extra $200 for food, and hopefully I can get all of my money offline within a week or so and I'll start buying some basic furniture and stuff.
My exact results from my first month in Vegas:

Only been out here for one month exactly today.During the 5 days I was here in August I was up $1051.

I gave an estimate of September a few days ago, but I might as well add everything up exactly right now........

During the 26 days of September that I played I'm up $3483(+$1000 in rakeback/bonuses, +$309 in NFL Wagers, +$2174 in poker).

And finally a blog post that has absolutely nothing to do with poker but is one of my personal favorites:

In a somewhat funny story, I said the most ballsy thing I've ever said to a cop today...so I get pulled over because apparently my registration has expired...and apparently the sticker in my front window fell off too. First cop is a lady, and she is literally the nicest cop I've ever dealt with. Makes small talk about the uniqueness of my name, offers to give me directions to the local DMV to get my resitration, etc. Then out of nowhere this guy cop comes up and basically feels the need to repeat everything she has already told me only with a much more less friendly tone. He then asks me if I was lying about my sticker falling off and if I only took it off because I knew it was expired(which btw is the stupidiest idea ever since I would think that a cop passing by my car on the street would be much more likely to notice a missing sticker than a sticker with an expired date on it, but whatever). I told him that it just fell off. He tells me "I've been a cop for 20 years and reistration stickers don't just fall off." My reply: "Well I've been a sticker maker for

Are they as soft as 3 years ago? Not even close. Hell, I have to copy Assani's sentiments here in that if I knew in 2004 what I know now, I'd never have to anything for money ever again. But, alas, it wasn't to be. That said, I'm making over $100/hr playing 1/2 online and have been since I've gotten used to the level, etc. etc. I promise you that online is MUCH tougher than playing live. Assani is correct, though, that the games are not the same and therefore, adjustments must be made. But I DO know for a fact that a winning online player at 1/2 should/can/will DESTROY a live 5/10 game.I have played various 5/10 games while in Vegas and they all have been ridiculously soft. Are there some strong players? You betcha. But there are plenty of monkeys to go around. It's why I'm moving there in the spring to also play for a living. Is the lifestyle for everyone? Obviously not, but I'd much rather try and fail then never have tried at all. Regret is much worse than failure, imo. That said, here is a post I made a little while ago over on 2p2 that kinda gets the point thru better:
I'm also about to take my shot come Feb. 1, albeit in a different situation. I'm 32, but single (live-in gf though), no kids, no mortgage (yet). I will have 6 months living expenses as well as a $25-$30,000 BR on top of that.I've been in my field (aviation) for 14 years now...started w/ USMC and have since moved on to general aviation and now, a government contract. Simple fact is, I'm burnt out. The money is decent (won't get rich, but more than enough), but the thing is, they could offer my triple what I make and it wouldn't change a thing. Not to mention I still wouldn't be making what I make playing poker.I have WONDERFUL support from my gf as well as her parents, as they are also self-employed and fully support doing something that I love, not to mention that they have seen the results as well. I think happiness >>>>>> money, when it comes to your desired "profession" whether that be teacher, doctor, cop, or poker player. I just don't want to be 75 years old and look back on my life and regret NOT HAVING TAKEN MY SHOT...So what if I fail (although I am determined to not let that happen)...I'd rather have taken that shot and failed than not have taken that shot at all. Regret is the ugliest thing in the world, imo. Much worse than failure.I used to be like OP and hated playing online. I was a perpetual fish. But things changed a while back and I'm now beating 200NL and being coached as well. I still love playing live, but I really think the main reason OP doesn't like online is that it's a MUCH tougher game than live. Sure the human aspect is not there etc, but the amount of money that can be made, just from the sheer number of hands played (rakeback) is really missing value, imo.I do think, though, that finding a good mix of live/online is key, though. Not only will it help stave off burnout, but it will allow you to mix both 6max and FR games in and allow you to play vs different skill levels. Now, I'm not sure how OP is, but for me, poker is simply a passion. I don't care how ugly the downswing may be, and there have been a couple REALLY ugly ones, I'm still itching to play the next day (2 at most ). I do think that that fire, that burning desire to play and to improve is also quite vital to sustained success. If you don't have it, then, well, it just turns into yet another 9-5 type thing with no benefits. The only reason I'm still at my job is I want to build myself a bigger security blanket before the switch. But still, it's a forgone conclusion. Also, moving to Vegas to make the availability of live play easier for me, for the above mentioned reasons.Plus, all-in-all, if I fail, I have aviation to fall back on (14 years of experience) and know that I can ALWAYS get a well paying job, if I so desire. But the freedom/happiness is much more important to me than security.

Best of luck man.Takes some serious nuts to live the lifestyle you are.
WHy? This always puzzled me why people say this. I mean, no kids, no wife, no mortgage...why not try it? Hell, to me, and I'm sure to Assani too, that living in the same place for 20 years, working, doing the same job over that same span is hell on earth. I'd much rather have freedom to do as I wish than be tied down like that. I work at a large aviation company right now and I see guys who are in their 60's who have been doing this for their entire lives. That, to me, is misery personified.

the part that i think that takes "serious nuts" is forgoing the stability of a reliable constant paycheck. i've had some really long bad runs that have nearly driven me insane.you need stamina, patience and determination to handle the droughts. some people are not cut out for it.

Right. The trade-off is huge. Stability can mean as much to some people as freedom means to someone like Fast Eddie. Personally, I know I couldn't do it but I applaud those of you who can. The qualities that allow you to forgo a steady paycheck to do something you love are the very same qualities that make you good poker players.I want to echo the sentiment that this thread is fascinating. I joined the boards a while ago but hadn't been on much for a while. I came back and caught on to this thread about a month ago. I actually went back to the beginning and read the whole thing!

One question. I'm watching the WSOP coverage on Tuesday, and they're focusing on this Khan character (who annoys me to no end). They said at one point he was playing as many as 43 SNG's online at a time? I can't imagine how that's even possible. What's the most tables you've had going at once?

Constant paychecks and I enjoy what I do. Unfortunately a lot of people are stuck at dead end jobs they hate.I didn't knock anyone for trying it. I just know I wouldn't want to have that lifestyle as my life.

I know Assani has money he is waiting on from online, but it can't feel good going into a casino knowing you need to make some money to make rent (or in this case rent + deposit, etc..). I think that is what Bears Man was talking about.

Oh, I wasn't knocking ya and know you weren't me/us, just throwing my thoughts out there is all. I think the VAST majority of people are in jobs that they're "stuck" in and don't love, or hell, even like. It's just a paycheck and a way to pay the bills.IMO, that's not living. That's, well, misery. I just can't imagine doing that the rest of my working life. I'd rather make less doing something I love than work at a job I loathe or that I get no kind of fulfillment from.

The fact that I make far more playing cards than I do in my current profession is just gravy.

To each their own though. I'm just grateful I don't have any kids yet. That would complicate things....

Good for you. If that's what you enjoy doing and you're good at it, then that's what you should do.I'm with you on not having kids. I don't see how my buddies manage doing that in their mid 20's and married. Thought of doing either hasn't even crossed my mind yet.

 As much as I enjoy poker, if I had to count on it as the major means of supporting myself and my family I'd end up with severe ulcers.I wish you guys (Assani, fasteddie, Sug D) all the best, and you have my admiration. Go get 'em.

I prefer to 12 table because with my 2 montior setup I can keep the tables at standard size and still see myself at every table(I can 8 table with no overlap at all). 12 is a perfect number for me- I never feel rushed, I can play for hours without going insane, and I can even watch tv or talk on the phone while I do it.I have tried shrinking the tables and 24 tabling with 12 on each monitor...it was intense, but I think I could do it if I had bigger monitors...after a while though, the small tables start to hurt my eyes. I don't like to tile or stack the tables like some people do...for whatever reason I need to at least see my seat at all times. Of course if you're playing against really tough opponents, then I wouldn't advise having more than 4 or 6 tables. Also Omaha 8 is harder to multitable imo.

Had a small win($53) at the Venetian last night.

Good news: I was a bit worried about getting my money from the poker sites, but that all seems to be going smoothly. Epassporte has me at a $300/day limit, but I got $300 into my bank account today, so I'll just do $300 more each day for the next 10 days and should be good.

I need to buy some furniture. Couches are more expensive than I thought...Craigslist seems good and there are even people giving away stuff for free, but I have no means of picking up a big item like a couch since I just have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. And absolutely all of the free stuff they're going to want you to pick it up. I guess I'll just wait for something that advertises free delivery or I'll just suck it up and pay the extra at IKEA.

He tells me "I've been a cop for 20 years and reistration stickers don't just fall off." My reply: "Well I've been a sticker maker for 5 years, and ya know sometimes they just do." I don't think he liked my joke very much....

MGM and Venetian are my two regular places now. 5-0 for winnings sessions at MGM, 3-1 at Venetian. I'll avoid the Wynn simply because the games are too tough for $1/3, but I don't think the Venetian is really tough at all. Going to MGM tonight.
