Assani's Poker Thread (4 Viewers)

"Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoloy card, a 2 of clubs, and A Green REVERSE card from the game UNO."

I wonder if JoeT will be back in here with his :ptts: any time soon?

:coffee:
Just so I've got this right.....now that he's qualified to participate in a tournament where he's a 1500 to 1 shot (I give him some credit) it completely forgives the fact that he failed miserably at his task?

Congrats Assani hope to see you on TV @ the final table!! ICY POTS all the way!!!!!
I was gonna say.....One good idea of making raising some money for the trip was to make up Icy Pots shirts and selling them to FBG members. I'd buy one (for a cheap price of course) if I knew the money was going towards a fellow FBG's WSOP trip. Thoughts? Maybe $12 or $15 a shirt.

His trip is already paid for.

I know it's too late now but it's just an idea. And who's to say he still doesn't have to pay for hotel and all the other crap.....

He's much better than 1500 to 1 to win 100k. Last year there were 81 prizes of 100k or more, and 140 prizes over 50k. Top 560 got paid out of a field of approximately 5600 entries. This year, they're talking about 8000 entries, which means 800 spots will likely be ITM, and of them maybe 200 will be 50k+ and 100 will be 100k+. Yeah, I like Assani's chances a lot better than 1500 to 1.

40 to 1 for the average player. I'd say Fred at 25 to 1. Assani at 20 to 1 (sorry Fred). That's the great thing about the ME. There is so much dead money it's sick. A good player has a huge overlay. The odds that a FBG wins at least 100k is going to be close to 4 to 1 (I expect 5-8 participants).

ill be trying a bit too

i wont drop too much on it, but im 100% playing on the stars 150 seat guarantee in july ($370)

should have around 4k players though..

ill probably spend $300-400 on sats trying to get into the sunday 6pm on stars

The break even number of participants is 4715. PS events usually lack an overlay.

Short term goals

After playing some STTs recently, I've decided that for the stakes offered, STTs have by far worse players than cash games.

Today 4/26, I have $1652 in my Party account. I could reload, but I don't feel like it. My goals for today:

Play $55 STTs and get to $2000

Play $77 STTs and get to $2500

Play $109 STTs and get to $3500

4/27: Now I have over 16 entries to $215s, which hopefully will be enough to withstand variance for my current Party bankroll. Of course if I go on to drop a few, I'll have to go back down in levels. From here I want to average $1500/day for the next 6 days.

So by next Wednesday, my bankroll should be $12,500 at Party.

I'm going to be 10 tabling and hopefully playing 8+ hours/day.

So then next Wednesday, I should have $12,500. I will then move up to $530s. If I drop to under $7000 at any point, I will drop back down to $215s. I don't have a ton of experience at $530s, so I'm not going to set any goals, but determine if the games are as easy and beatable. If they aren't, I have no problem sticking with the $215s.

I'll post my results here.

Played 23 $50 STTs and lost around $70. Maybe this is going to be tougher than I thought. Playing in the $320 at Stars now. Doing very well thanks to idiots like this:
