Assante Out (1 Viewer)

Assante Samuel is out for the Eagles. Should bump the value up of the Dallas passing game. The big question is, who will Nnamdi be covering? DRC is a very beatable CB. Even though Nnamdi has not been dominant this season, I would not necessarily want to have my WR in the most important game of the season being covered by him (assuming there are solid options). My guess is that he covers Dez leaving DRC on Austin in 2-wides, and that in 3-wides Austin actually draws Joselio Hanson from the slot, which is a matchup I like a lot for Austin. Any Eagles homers with a better take on the situation?

Cornerback Asante Samuel has been ruled out for Saturday's crucial game with the Cowboys, the Eagles said Friday.

Samuel injured his hamstring against the Jets and missed the past three practices. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will start in his place.

Joselio Hanson will play in the slot in the nickel.

Samuel's absence could be crucial against a Cowboys team that features three significant threats at wide receiver and a big-time tight end.

I think Nnamdi might actually end up on Laurent Robinson a lot. When he comes in its almost always on the outside with Austin moving inside.

So probably some on Bryant, some on Robinson. Does Nnamdi usually stick to one side and if so which one?

I thought I heard the eagles don't just play straight man with corners

Does anyone remember what they did last game?
