We got the "Phase 3" update to our U-Verse TV in the last 24 hours. Can now pause and rewind on all TVs now (not just the one with the main DVR).

Go for it. Just make sure that they don't use second-hand or refurbished stuff. U-verse's biggest problem is that their equipment is always breaking down.

Over a year here and not a single problem. With time Warner I was having to replace my crappy Scientific-Atlanta DVR about every 4-6 months when, after a short life of utterly crappy performance, it would lose the plot entirely.

Very conservative estimate: AT&T has spent $100 on junk mail sent to my house in the last 6 months promoting U-Verse. Rediculous.

Could be worse they gave me 275 in gift cards to have service from mid October to thanksgiving. My total bill was 140 during that span more or less.
