Attention! All Julius Jones Owner! (1 Viewer)

BigTex

Don't mess with Texas
Hello both sharks and guppies. You may mark this however you wish, Julius Jones had a concussion in the Giants game and Chicago games.

From mouth of Julius Jones to this board: "If I have one more concussion....................I'm OUT!"

He didn't exactly say what "Out" is be it surely doesn't sound good.

You have been warned.

Tex

P.S.

I don't have a link because it didn't come from online, it's up to you if you wish to believe or not.

If you have JJ move him YESTERDAY!

Good Luck!

This is VERY weak. at least you could mention where you heard this.

When it comes to Julius Jones, Big Tex knows his stuff. If you're a Jones owner, I'd take these words to heart. I've been trying to trade Jones all week for this very reason and hoping I can find one person who will take him.

Big Tex has proved himself here. I'll take any JJ news from Big Tex as truth.

This link doesn't say he will be out if he gets another concussion, just some additional information. But I think if he does get another concussion it will be a major concern for his owners. The cumlative effect of having these concussions so close together would raise serious concerns for the Dallas medical staff.

Julius Jones suffers slight concussion

By CLARENCE E. HILL JR.

chill@star-telegram.com

Running back Julius Jones said he is looking into trying a new helmet after suffering a second concussion in the first three games of the season.

Jones was not listed on the team's injury report Monday.

He said he suffered a slight concussion in the fourth quarter against the Bears. Jones said that is why he didn't return to the game.

On the second play of the fourth quarter, Jones gained 22 yards to the Bears' 4 where he collided with Brian Urlacher and Danieal Manning. He stayed on his knees for a few seconds, then Patrick Crayton walked over to try to help him to his feet. Two trainers came out to check on Jones and all three walked slowly to the sidelines. The play was nullified because of a holding penalty.

Jones, who finished with seven carries for 26 yards, said he will be fine.

this is all that needs to be done:

Julius Jones suffered his second concussion of the season in Sunday night's game. The Cowboys are calling it a "slight" concussion.

Jones wasn't on the injury report announced by head coach Wade Phillips Monday, but if he's concussed again there's a chance he could be shut down. Jones, who was injured on the second play of the fourth quarter Sunday, says he'll be fine and should play against St. Louis in Week 4.

Thanks guys for the words and sorry packerfan, I know you and I have had some talks about JJ but his is not good my friend.

SDJ, thaks for the link, I didn't see this anywhere but I'm telling you guys what I know. Again, YOU make the choice if you wish to believe, it's up to you. I have nothing to prove and certainly wouldn't post anything to deceive anyone. You got a direct quote.

Tex

Nope. It's definitely a major concern. I like him and I still think he's a good RB but I'm trying hard to move him in my league this week. And if you have any shot at all of getting Marion Barber, I'd do it now. If Jones does go out there's no question in my mind Barber will be a Top 10 RB and possibly Top 5.

Again, I didn't read this, this is what I was told, I know you missed the "I don't have a link" because I did NOT read it anywhere. But thanks for that one.

Big Tex, thanks for the post. Where did you hear this direct quote? Was JJ being interviewed on local TV, was it a radio interview, did you see him crossing the street? Where/how did you hear it?

You and I had a discussion about the way he was running in that second game, we both agreed that he didn't look right...........it was the concussion. :bag: At this point I wouldn't be surprised if MBIII gets signed before the year is out, unless something happens....................Damn! Damn! Damn!

Crossing the street would be closer, it came from JJ and from the links that are being posted I'm sure more will be coming out. I need to be careful about some things I post on this board. If you have any questions PM me.

LOL...............I meant "this is not good"

Good...no GREAT stuff here. Thanks Tex.

What have people been offering up for MBIII? He's the hot hand right now in big D, so, he won't come cheaply. I'm going to try to package Fitz and an RB2 for him. If Julius takes a seat (big if, but, I'm 1-2 and have to gamble here a bit) MBIII would be MONEY.

IF it is bigger than normal head damage- then Jerry Jones here and the 'Boys are soft selling it because I think they have wanted to shop him for a high price now that RB's are going down to injury. It will make it tougher for them to move him

Maybe if his brains get scrambled enough he can become a NFL analyst for ESPN just like the Factor Back.

Maybe Jerry can offer him to STL for SJAX like they're doing in all our fantasy leagues..... :goodposting:

Package Him and Larry Fitz for..... (don't want to say until this weekend) in my Money Redraft league.

However; in my Dynasty... I'm holding... since a) No one will give me squat and b) he'll be on another NFL team and I'll ship him away to move up in the Draft.

This guy is no joke when it comes to JJ. I'd take it seriously.
I agree with chocolateThere are some poeple on this board for some reason(not know to anyone here, for good reason) have inside information on certain players. BigTex seems to have that when it comes to JJ. If you were around 2 years ago when Tex told everyone to grab JJ 4 weeks before his return and you and won a championship based upon his "tip" you would be a believer when he speaks about JJ. It's probably not a hunch V1LL

Thanks TEX

As a fellow Cowboy fan and someone who has talked to Tex many times. I know for a fact this is a direct quote. Thanks for sharing Tex. We appreciate it, did you post it over at the Zone as well?

 The fact that he chooses to waste such talent/resources on a godforsaken team like the Cowboys is beside the point. ;)

Nevermind...I reread Texas' post...reading comprehension down...

Too bad for JJ. I really like his talent, but don't know what happened to him the last couple of years.

:fishing: Count me as one of the lucky ones who listened to TEX and grabbed JJ in time for the stretch run....I wouldn't have won my league without him.

Isn't Barber already top 5? If Jones goes out, Barber will possibly be in the top 1.

Sorry, but I have not finished reading the thread, but 850 The Buzz Sports Radio this afternoon said close the same thing regarding JJ. They implied that he was looking out for his own personal health and would likely take some off to make sure he was fully recovered. The talked about being a 40 year old drooling patient unable to take care of himself unless he looked out for himself first. They brought up the Dan Morgan multiple concussion issue and how the team restructured his contract because they did not feel he could be counted on (and they drafted Beason).

They reported this was from an interview with JJ, but I missed the when and with who.

Sorry, but it did catch my attention!

Hello BG, no I haven't been over to the Zone. I don't post there much these days, I either get ignored are blasted when I post something. If I had posted this on the Zone the insults would have flew in from the north, south, east and west. The mods there are great and I have a crush on WoodysGirl but I'm a little more at home here.

Thanks for sharing, I'm sure more will be coming out as the days pass, this is my last public comment as far as JJ is concerned.............I assure you he knows that this could be his last chance at landing a BIG contract as he's in his contract year. JJ is not sitting himself out, he's got some proving to do but that door is closing and MBIII is on the other side closing that door.I hope everyone understands that I'm not trying to tell you who to buy or sell on any person, just bring out some information for you ponder. Understand again that there's an "If", if he receives another concussion he's out. What are the chances that he'll receive another..............I don't know.

I just want to give you guys a heads up.

Good luck,

Tex

P.S.

Buy low on Glenn :goodposting:

Me too! There are idiots everywhere (Even here).Anway thanks again for sharing. Tell JJ, he's got a fan here. He paves the way for MB3 and does a lot most casual fans don't know or see.

So true, so true, no problem.I agree 100%

dropped him last night for Sammy Slammin Morris. No one was willing to trade for him - so I reluctantly let him slip onto the WW.
