Randy Thomas hasn't played since week 2, so I'm not sure how he'll perform. But, he says he's ready mentally and physically and he certainly has to be better than Fabini.
Sellers has missed the last two games. In those two, Portis has averaged just 2.1 YPC and has clearly missed his lead blocker.
So, plug Thomas and Sellers back in, consider that the Bears are 27th in the league in rush yards allowed and 28th in YPC and 29th in rush TDs allowed, hope the arrests in the Taylor case and the funeral has brought them some closure, and realize that their season hangs in the balance and I think you can see a good week for Portis.
The downside, of course, is the short week with a flight down and back from Miami, the lingering emotions, and little practice.
Overall, though, I think we'll see a stronger ground game than we've seen the last few weeks.
