Auction Draft (1 Viewer)

Follows Closely

I have a league that I don't expect it is possible to get all the guys together for the draft. Has anyone done an slow on-line auction? The current options, I just don't see working. For example, "Auction Over: 1 day after high bid change". That could take 200 days to complete the draft.

I am using mfl.

I have participated in two 'slow' auctions on MFL and the "auction over 1 day after high bid change" does not slow things down as you perceive. Each owner nominates a player each day for bidding, so you may have anywhere from half a dozen to a couple dozen players being available for bidding. The first week of the auction is more active as the higher priced placers on on board. After that the 1, 2 and 3 dollar guys don't last long. Both auctions I was in was over in about 10 - 14 days.

Is this like the old auction software at xperts? How deep was this league to finish in two weeks. I'm thinking of a 12 team 26 rounder. We draft slow at MFL and finish is 7-10 days. I would love to make it an auction league.

Do you mean that not everyone is availabe on the same day or just that you can't all get together at the same place? We used fantasyauctioneer.com last year for our online auction. It was the only website we could find that does online auction drafting.

I know nothing of xperts. Our league was 12 team with 22 roster spots and $400 cap. The leagues drafts were 16 days. The first 10 days each owner nominated 1 player only. Starting the 11th day, each owner nominated 2 players (this is where a nomination may be on the roster of the nominee because folks won't have much money to bid). The last day those whose rosters had not the required 22 players could nominate up to the number of players yet needed. Interesting to note is that most of the rosters slots are filled with players costing 1 or 2 bucks
