Even for the purposes of Dynasty I am seeing Steven Jackson really getting knocked way down the ladder with guys like Gore and Turner. I saw Turner and Gore running slow last year and looking spent but Jackson always looked powerful and fast and dangerous when healthy. He keeps himself i great shape and it seems to me he could still put up two more top 10 seasons before he slows down. Is he falling too far in Dynasty Leagues, especially PPR Leagues??
Also..Peyten Hillis in Dynasty. What are the chances he has a pretty good year then gets paid as a free agent somewhere that does not have a Jamal Charles to steal touches?
Good evening gentlemen! I asked this last week but didn't make the cut.
I'm curious with all the talk about the NFL becoming a "passing league" are Running Backs really as devalued in fantasy as we might think? It seems like even if teams are throwing the ball a lot more, that ultimately the running back will still benefit greatly from increased red zone chances and increased receptions. Should we really be jumping ahead of the curve on this paradigm shift and start targeting elite Quarterbacks and Receivers in our drafts at the expense of the Running Backs or is the position still as much of a mainstay of fantasy football as it was in year's past?
In a PPR dynasty league, what would equal valuable be in trading Rashad Jennings to the MJD owner? I'm tempted to hold onto Jennings because I do think he has the skills to be a starting RB and he's scheduled for URFA in 2013. Given his free agency status in 2013, would it be better to hold onto him tight or cash him in now given the MJD hold out?
What are we to make of Evan Royster taking first team carries in camp? More shanihanigans or is this to be taken into consideration, bumping Helu down?
In a ppr league is sproles safe enough to be considered an rb1? I have him as a keeper in a 16 team ppr draft and debating going wr/wr at 16/17 instead of a very questionable rb
Steelers started using three year deals for mid round picks.
WR Mike Wallace has clearly outplayed his contract and now it seems like those three-year deals aren't such deals when a guy develops as rapidly as Wallace.
It began back in March when the Steelers let him become a RFA but no one signed him for the price of a first and third round picks plus the aspect of looking at a renegotiation.
Now it is an impasse.
What is your take on the situation and how you feel it will play out knowing Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders are facing the same situation next year?
Playing devil's advocate: is the incredible depth at WR this year an *illusion*? Are we going to look back and realize that some of those mid-round guys (Harvin, Bowe, Vjax, etc.) were land mines and not (relatively) safe havens.
Great show guys. Can you address the Lion RB situation and describe where the value may lie?
Also specifically for Jene: I recall your eloquent description of Austin Collie's concussions last year and how you thought they were a bit overblown, that those concussions did not necessarily increase the likelihood of Collie getting another one. If another one occurs they are progressively worse though. Does this apply to everyone? I'm especially wondering about Jahvid Best, because if his concussion concerns are also a bit overblown he could be a huge value.
How would you guys suggest players new to formats such as the FFPC get their feet wet? sinking say, $350 into playing the FBG players championship is a pretty heavy investment for most people, even if they have played fantasy football for a while and losing, especially losing in a grand fashion due to unfamiliarity of how high stakes drafts differ from other free to play sites can sour a person pretty quickly.
It seems like after cj2k finally got PAID he let up a little bit and last year smacked him in the face. I believe he learned a lesson that his natural ability will not carry him enough to be an elite talent and because of that he has rededicated himself to the cause working out with the Titans 5 days a week this offseason.
A FBGs Oline ranking had the Titans very high up there so I ask you gentlemen, what is you prediction for CJ2K. I know it could go a number of ways but what do YOU predict? Thanks
Friday morning drive to work is so excellent listening to the audible!
Long time, no see. Glad to be back and can't wait for the show
Dynasty-Buy/Sell/or Hold: Demaryius Thomas and Percy Harvin. Two guys that have pretty high value right now but we still haven't seen their full potential. I mean would Payton really not use Demaryius if he's not "smart" enough of a WR to be where he wants him to, or is that being greatly overrated?
Thinking about giving up Peterson for Vick this year
Also trying to make a deal for Gramm or rivers.
Are the qbs that important. I've gotten lucky with late round qbs in the past but this year I see the bulk of qbs going faster with the lack of running back choices and abundant wr's.
I have P manning, aj green, roddy white and Fred jax as an option as well
Hi guys love the show! I want to believe that waiting on QB is the way to go this year. Could you guys get into the math of why waiting on QB is the best option?
Assuming you don't want to spend a 2nd round pick, or maybe even a late 1st, on either Graham or Gronk but you want a top 5 TE where is the value for the next tier of TE's which probably includes: Gates, Finley, V.Davis, Hernandez and perhaps Witten? All look to be going anywhere from the late 4th thru the 6th so who is the guy or two to target from this list?
Late to the party, but in case you get here. Where do you draft MJD in PPR now that he's holding out? If you're picking after the top 3 (Foster, Rice, McCoy), who goes next, or perhaps, when do you gamble on MJD? With so long to go before the first regular season game, do you gamble somewhere along the way? Thanks!
