Like too many guys who get there on talent, his brain never matured in this game. But when you see flashes like the 2008 playoffs, I see why you keep him. I had to cut him in a redraft in early August last season he was sinking my team so bad, and my only regret was not doing it sooner. I think if he had the right structure or manager or veteran leadership in a room, he might better realize his gifts, but right now, he came up on a crappy Rays team, got it to the World Series as a key cog, so I sense he feels bullet proof. I think he'll never be a star in Tampa, but there's too much talent and too much time on his side for me to write him off for good. But whereas we saw a ceiling of Willie Mays with him, maybe its more like Ron Gant, which would still be a hell of a bump for this guy. Right now, he's on the train to Glenn Braggsville.
