Peyton Hillis. Of the Broncos' backs, he's the most likely to be found on your waiver wire. He showed some toughness on the 1st down run late last night. With Pittman, Hall, Torrain being done, and Young dinged up, he should see a very significant role moving forward.
Dantrell Savage. Kolby Smith is done for the year, and Johnson is suspended. The Chiefs were at a point talking about holding Johnson out even after the suspension in week 10. While it's not likely, there is that chance. Edwards has said he doesn't want to give Charles a full load, so Savage could touch the ball 10-12 times on Sunday.
Kevin Jones--pure speculation on my part--I'm guessing the Bears will do all they can to keep the ball out of Rex Grossman's hands which means an even bigger commitment to the running game. Forte is already on pace for nearly 400 touches, so if they do increase the number of runs called, I'm expecting Jones to become more involved.
Brandon Jackson--Ryan Grant just hasn't looked all that great thus far. Only 3.5 Yards a carry and 1 Touchdown at the half-way point isn't what fantasy owners or the coaching staff had expected. I haven't seen him play alot myself this season, but according to rotoworld: "he isn't breaking long runs and was slow to the edge." While it's a small sample size, Jackson is averaging 5.1 Yards a carry, and was a late 2nd round pick. He's also been much more utilized in the passing game. Don't look for him to unseat Grant, but do expect him to become much more involved in the ground game.
Brad Hoover/Nick Goings--Jonathan Stewart has said his foot is in alot of pain, especially when he pushes off. The Panthers run the ball alot, 13th in the league in rushing yards. Williams and Stewart have combined for 27 carries a game, and the coaching staff hasn't seemed to want to give either back a full load. Goings is listed as the teams #3 Running back, but I've read reports that the extra touches could go to Hoover. Monitor the situation, whoever winds up with the carries could be looking at 10+.
Kenneth Darby and Samkon Gado--While Jackson has tried to talk like he could play, it was reported on ESPN that Haslett said there was no way he'd play until he was ready to play at his normal level. Pittman hasn't practiced, and is Questionable. If he does play, he'll start, but look for him to split with Darby. If he doesn't play, Darby will start and split carries with Gado.
Obviously, none of these guys are going to give you Clinton Portis numbers, but if you're in a deep league and desperate, they're worth a look.
Thoughts? Opinons? Who do you like? Who do you not like? Who do you think "In what league is he available in?!?!?!" Beat ya to it
