Lost an arm and a leg when I had the wrong side of a straight flush in hold 'em. The board had 10-J-Q-K and I had the 9. Someone else had the Ace. 

Fantasy wise, was up 3 points going into MNF and opponent had no one else playing. I had Kurt Warner in the Greatest Show on Turf era.  Could have benched him to get the guaranteed win, but left him in cuz our last playoff spot was based on total points. 

Warner had a completion and then tossed back to back picks. He got hurt on the second one and missed the rest of the game. He didn't get any yardage points but lost two points for each INT for -4 points on the night. Lost by a point. 

End of the year, finished second in my division because of that loss. Also missed wildcard by 3 points. Talk about perfect symmetry.

Semifinal game carr’s Fumble dropped me back to a tie, which I lost due to tiebreaker. Would have destroyed in the final.

Years ago, I’m down 2 and John Casey (kasey? Carolina early 2000s) and 4th quarter panthers down 2. Carolina has driven to fg  range, about a 40 yd fg. They have timeouts, I’m thinking “run it twice to get a couple yds and get the ball where the kicker wants, kick in 3rd”. But they drop back to pass, steve smith catches a 3 yd hook and just burns everyone for a td. They kick the xp and I lose by 1....

Lost to Gurley by 5.8 points.  Bell getting the TD vultured by his FB cost me 6.1!?

It was like 10 years ago, but I lost in the semi finals when Brian Westbrook gave himself up at the 2 yard line instead of scoring. Lost by .9, worst part is I won the 3rd place game next week and outscored the the 2 teams in the finals COMBINED!

I wonder if anyone lost their title match last night when PHI D scored on the last play of the game.  That would be a brutal way to lose a title game.

I benched Philly D for Chicago. I ended up winning my 3rd place matchup anyway, but I lost the most season points prize by 5 points. If I started Philly I would have won it on that play.

How's this for a slow-burn bad beat? In my long-time family league, Week 13, commish's team loses by 3 to the worst team in the league while the team behind him squeaks out a close win. As a result, commish got bypassed for the final playoff spot.

What's the big deal? Well, the commish's team had Gurley. If he had made it into the playoffs, he would have gone on a rampage and laid waste to the playoff bracket.
