The owner of a small pet foods store in Missoula says she was surprised when state officials started investigating her business for selling pet treats and supplements that contain cannabinoids derived from hemp. She had been under the impression the items were lawful, but has since discovered that the legal status of hemp-derived animal treatments is anything but clear.
