Part of me thinks Bal will play well regardless of opponent, but SD has been scoring ALOT the past couple games. anyone benching for other options? if so, who?

I'm not overthinking this. #1 fantasy defense in my league, for the season and for the last 3 weeks. In the playoffs I'm riging the horse that got me there.

I have Bal and SF and so far it's questionable. If Big Ben doesn't look like he'll play, I'll be playing SF ahead of Bal.

Baltimore should do okay, but I wouldn't expect a top-5 defense this week.

A lot depends on your scoring system. I am kind of expecting a game where Baltimore gives up 24 points and 400 or more total yards, but at the same time picks off 2 or 3 passes and sacks Rivers 4 or 5 times.

Baltimore has played a lot of terrible pass offenses this year, and their #1 CB (Webb) is probably out with an injury. But they also lead the NFL in sacks - Suggs forced 3 fumbles on sacks last week, but the Colts somehow recovered all of them. I see lots of passing success for the Chargers, but also lots of opportunities for the Ravens D to amass fantasy points.

:goodposting: If your D scoring is heavily weighted to factor pts. allowed, I'd look for another option. But the Ravens D will still get their pound of flesh regardless.

what would be considered heavily weighted? ours is -5 for 28 given up. -10 for 35. defs get 1 pt per sack, 2 for fumble, 2 for saftey, 2 for blocked kick, 3 for INT , 6 for TD. no return statsARZ vs CLV looks tempting.I do know the one time I sat BAL D this year they played the jets and went bonkers...

I can almost picture a pick-6 or two this game for BAL...

But I don't know if I can put them in over PIT this week...

what a pain it is, having these 2 Defenses. Honestly.

Rivers will help the D out. Last week he dropped back to throw a pass from near the goalline and forgot how to throw the ball as it flipped backwards for a Buffalo TD.

San Diego has plenty of high scoring games this year but still gives up the 5th most amount of fantasy points to opposing defenses. There is absolutely nothing to worry about as long as Rivers is playing.

Only -5 for 28 allowed is NOT heavily weighted. That's a friendly system for Baltimore's defense.

Rivers is doing a much better job taking care of the football as of late. I wouldn't count on a multiple INT game from Rivers on Sunday Night. That being said, he isn't very mobile and will likely see alot of pressure....I would count on a handful of sacks of the Balt Def.

Sacks are heavily weighted in my league. Points/yards against not at all. Even with that scoring Chargers have been better the past few weeks.

should have gone with my gut here, but its hard to bench the best d in the league. This killed my season though...

I missed out on my SuperBowl by .76 of a point...Thanks Ravens for at least getting me to the Championship game but I sure could have used just 1 sack.

watch them go crazy this week. at home vs a weak CLV team, they probably get multiple sacks and turnovers. odds are they are really pissed after getting embarrassed too
