Bale Machinist Diet: Apple and a can of tuna per day - doable? (1 Viewer)

Come on man. You could get 4 days without eating carbs but you're gonna go 2 months just eating an apple and tuna fish instead?

 
I tried it three times... don't think I made the day...props to bale.

You may want to read more about it, I know he was extremely low energy by the end.

You should easily lose 15 lbs in 3 weeks doing this.
To be fair he probably had offdee 10's giving him blow jobs 24/7 to keep his mind off food.

How many calories you consuming? About 8k?
I'd say around 6-7k
What's you week or two weeks at the gym like

He'd have to run a marathon and then pump iron for 3 hours at high intensity every day to burn off 7,000 calories alongside a normal metabolism.

 
If after 2 weeks on the tuna, you piss your pants and forget your name once in a while, don't worry. You probably haven't been getting enough mercury all these years.

Lol. Yes I did win the metabolism lottery but I do still work my ### off in the gym.

 
This is not a weight loss solution.

It is a crazy nethod acting technique.

It takes months of healthy eating and exercise to change your metabolism. Bale gained the weight back surprisibgly fast in time to play Batman.

Your body will just pack the weight back on after you do this. The difference is you wont look like Bruce Wayne.

You will look like Oswald Cobblepot

 
Of course you can lose weight if you starve yourself. Eventually you'll stop starving yourself and the weight (and and quite possibly more weight) will return. You'll then enter a vicious cycle of starving yourself for periods of time to get your weight back down followed by periods of weight gain after you inevitably fall hard off the wagon. Denying yourself food is not the answer. Changing what you eat is the answer. Buy one of these. You'll be eating more fruits and vegetables than you ever thought you were capable of and you'll be loving doing it. I'm about to eat a mountain of spinach, baby kale, zucchini, carrots, beets, broccoli, frozen blueberries, banana with a little bit of unsweetened almond milk. It will taste like a delicious, ice cold, perfectly smooth, healthy milkshake. Energy all afternoon and my weight hasn't been this low since high school. If you had told me last year I would be eating all of those vegetables in one sitting I would have told you you were crazy. There would be now way I could do it unless I smothered them in butter or cheese and even then I'd be gagging my way through the plate. Now those same vegetables are a treat I look forward to every day.
I'd rather not skip a mortgage payment to buy that, but sounds like a win.

I like it. Maybe even throw in 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast. That would be borderline easy.

You do this for a week and you'll be fine - you do it for 4 months and I think you could have some complications you don't expect. Also, I'd think he was under doctor supervision so while I know you aren't doing this for four months if you do it longer than a couple weeks I'd consult your physician.

Just come up with your own healthy ingredients that add up to 1000 calories and eat that daily. Switch it up too. With some exercise, you'll be at a massive calorie deficit and guaranteed to lose weight. Pretty sure we discussed this in the other diet thread, which you started.

Try this. I ate a can of tuna mixed with some other stuff for lunch the last 2 days and liked it. Never tried that before.

 
I've had 200 calories worth of food today, and it's almost 4pm. Feeling pretty fine actually. :shrug:

My question is why 200 calories? Should be shooting for zero. Bobby Sands lost so much weight before quitting the diet.
B/c that's not the machinist diet. Christian Bale knows things.

 
Im sure there are better threads..and if anyone can point me to a good one I'm happy to view it. But I will ask in this thread anyways.

The Keto subreddit has me intrigued. And here is a great intro with a good summary and helpful links.

Keto = good? I am at 225+ and want to be at 200.

 
I'd wager at some point you break down and binge eat like animal trying to sustain something like this. Maybe you can do it again tomorrow, but by Wednesday you'll wake up so hungry and eat like 3 bacon egg and cheeses for breakfast.
