This is the best time of year to make your moves...pick on the carcasses of the underperforming players on the 0-3 and 1-2 teams. Take a look at their rosters and they are bound to have guys that have underperformed. We aren't even through 20% of the season so there's A LOT of football left to be played.

Some guys I'm looking (and you should too) to acquire are..

QB

Schaub - He's very good but package an Orton and a Wr and you'll be happy IMO (and I like Orton)

Romo - see Schaub

RB

MJD - I didn't like MJD this year with the knee injury, not playing the preseason and the awful state of the Jags but he's still worth trying to acquire if the price is right. Feel out the owner and put together a combo package of a hot RB and depth WR that could be starting on other FF teams.

Barber - I think they'll come around and he's the bellcow there (despite the annual hope of the Felix owners)

Forsett - he's the main back and while their offense is inconsistent, he's getting the majority of the carries and has a lot of softies coming up

Greene - I was all about acquiring LT and he's doing what I thought he would (maybe even a bit more) but the tables will turn a bit and Greene will get going. I thought Greene was going way too high in drafts on his track record but I think there are a lot of frustrated owners out there.

D. Brown - always been a fan and think he could be huge. It won't take much but if you can get him as a throw in a package I'd look to add him.

Moreno - his injury is a big question mark and I wouldn't pay a lot but if you've got room on your bench for a few weeks and the other owner is desperate due to bye weeks and Moreno's loss you could probably get him real cheap.

WR

Knox- he's getting the targets, catches and yards just not the TDs. That will change and once he has his blow up game you won't be able to get him.

Any of the big guns..Calvin, Fitz, Jennings, Colston. I don't love Jennings and Colston because their QBs spread it around too much but they'll be better than they have.

This game is about timing and depth..make your moves when you can. Deal your overperformers for underperformers even if you have depth..you can never be too deep. I'd be looking to deal guys like Walter, Clayton, Manningham, Sanchez, and Hillis (wouldn't give him away but would certainly try to swing him for an MJD which may seem nuts but I'd test the waters). Good luck and makes those moves this week before it's too late.

I would be very interested to hear of trades involving MJD. I guess the time really is TODAY because he should light up the Colts. Then again people were saying that last week as well.

why would you want to deal clayton?

with sjax already gimpy clayton should continue to have a great season.

why would you want to deal clayton?
Because you have to GIVE something of value to acquire a player your trading partner invested MORE in....if you believe in one of the players from Banger's list you are going to have to entice their owner - they are not going to give the player away

Excellent job overall Banger. :kicksrock:
As usual. Always enjoy reading your posts. I hope you are right with Knox, Schaub, and D. Brown as they are all on my team. I don't see Barber returning to any prominence given that Choice and Jones are in the mix. Greene will not be the factor everyone thought he'd be unless LT gets hurt. I agree on the rest although the D. Brown hamstring injury causes me to have concern about him since not only has he not been very effective running the ball (outside of the NYG game) but he is now dealing with an injury that could linger.

You would be quickly rejected if you offered me Orton and a WR for Schaub/Romo, unless they were a very good receiver.
