While there's no doubt Bonds is a MUCH better player than Griffey, I'm pretty curious about this one. Without looking at the numbers, I find it hard to believe.I'll report back.

It's a stretch, but not a huge one.Griffey's best year was probably the strike year in 94.I see 7 years where Bonds was hands down better than Griffey's 94 (92-93, 00-04), 2 that are borderline but I'd probably give to Bonds (94, 96), and 2 that are borderline but don't quite make the cut (97, 98). That's 11... I guess the 12th would be 95 or maybe 90?

Some of those years Griffey was also an amazing fielder. While I think Bonds wasn't always horrid, even if he was the greatest LF of all time thats not as valueable as being the best defensive CF in the league at a given time.
