Baseball rain delays (1 Viewer)

It's not like they are playing in the dead of winter. Feeling like they should suck it up. If Rodgers can throw a football in a blizzard, these guys can play with some water falling from the sky. Spit balls galore!

You want a 90 mph fast ball coming at you that may have slipped out of the pitchers hand....good luck with that.

my father is deaf in his right ear becuase he took a fastball in the head granted they didn't have helmets that were that protective back then either

It's actually stopped because the ball gets water logged. A baseball is the only ball out of any major sport that changes when it gets wet.

Football is played in any kind of weather: Rain, snow, sleet, hail, fog...can't see the game, don't know if there is a game going on; mud on the field...can't read the uniforms, can't read the yard markers, the struggle will continue!

In baseball if it rains, we don't go out to play. "I can't go out! It's raining out!"

First ...you do play in rain

second when it rains hard enough imagine all the balls just stopping in the soaked mud

What happens when the pitching mound gets too water logged? Pitchers lose their footing and are more likely to injure themselves and the batter.

Any comparison about playing in the elements in relation to football is ridiculous.

Guess you forgot lightning.
