baseballhq.com's "Mayberry Method" (1 Viewer)

Anyone know anything about this?
It's a simplified way of ranking players that doesn't try to predict exactly how many of any one statistic that a player will put up this year but instead provides ranges that a player could fall within. Each player is reduced to a 7 character code. 3 of the codes are the standard reliability grades that Baseball HQ has used for years. The additional 4 (each on a numerical score from 0-5) are as follows:For batters:Power (based on PX score)Speed (based on SX score)Batting Average (based on xBA)Playing Time (based on projected AB)For pitchers:Overall Skill (based on xERA)Dominance (based on K/9)Saves (based on potential for getting saves)Playing Time (based on projected IP)Each player then has a 7 digit code and then an overall score that is based on a mathematical formula including all of the numerical grades. This is described much better and in more detail in this year's Baseball Forecaster. I kind of like the concept and am planning to incorporate it into my rankings this year.
