Beanie Wells (1 Viewer)

I'm not sure where the 'won't play hurt' stuff is coming from.
He did it all college, when he's healthy he's a menace but he doesn't stay on the field long enough. He pulled himself for portions of most of his games throughout school and often wouldn't practice during the week. Some players can play hurt, others can't - Beanie is the latter.
this is such garbage. you have no idea the extent of the injuries that caused him to miss time and if other players would have been able to play through them. i mean, its legit mindboggling that someone would actually think they can assess that.
By the time the sample size is good enough for Wells supporters to finally believe this is who he is his career will be over. He's done the exact same thing every single year since getting to Columbus. Define, trend. Maybe you'll get that one year he finally stays in one piece. And maybe you'll also be the one playing russian roulette to find the empty casing too. There are better risks to take...

I agree with you that he's injury prone and I don't think he'll have much of a career, but I don't buy that he's too soft to play through hurt. It would honestly make me feel better about him to believe that he's soft rather he actually gets injured that often.

decent goal post shift i guess. except i havent discussed or argued any of the topics you are grasping at here. I only argued that it is impossible for you, and proly anyone else on the earth, to judge his ability to "play through injury."shoulda just stuck with the simple and obv bashing that he is injury prone and will never be able to stay healthy. i proly woulda agreed.

I wonder if Beanie is gonna tweet pictures of his MRI

Do you think the fantasy world would care as much as when Foster did?

Cardinals playing it safe with Beanie Wells

By Mike Sando | ESPN.com

OK, I'll admit to being hooked on the blow-by-blow Twitter coverage from NFC West organized team activities.

Beanie Wells' injury absence from the Arizona Cardinals' practice field came as no shock, but an absence of details did invite ominous thoughts.

Had the Cardinals' 1,000-yard rusher undergone a serious procedure calling into question his long-term availability? His agent, Sean Howard, offered comfort for Cardinals fans when reached Tuesday. Howard described the surgery as "a clean-out procedure" and said Wells did not undergo microfracture surgery or any other procedure requiring an extended recovery period.

The goal is for Wells to be ready for a full 16-game season and more, if necessary. As a result, Wells likely will not practice during OTAs.

"He's in shape and looks good," Howard said. "The doctors and the Cardinals have decided to play it safe. Rather than rush him back, the consensus opinion was to let him heal."

Asked if surgery was to repair meniscus, RB Beanie Wells said it "was a little more complicated than that."

Didn't go into details.
When asked if the procedure was to repair his meniscus, Wells said that it was "a little more complicated than that." Then when he was asked whether it was a microfracture surgery, Wells simply smiled and walked away.
Per rotoworld:
Beanie's agent confirmed to ESPN.com's Mike Sando that the running back did not undergo microfracture surgery "or any other procedure requiring an extended recovery period." Wells isn't practicing this week, though coach Ken Whisenhunt insists the team is playing it safe. Sitting out offseason drills has been the plan all along. "It's coming along pretty good," Wells said. "No setbacks at all, I'm feeling confident about being ready when the time is right." The Cardinals plan is for Beanie to be ready by the start of training camp.
Also, for what it's worth, CBS' version attributes the "little more complicated" comment to Whiz. Not that it makes a difference.
