Thurs is the big day to see about how the health is for a rb. If he practice sin full today I feel comfortable starting him on Sunday. Please list any updates as soon as you hear them.

per Kent Somers, Cardinals beat writer:

No practice [Thursday] for Beanie Wells. My guess is he doesn't play at st. Louis

It was announced yesterday that Hightower would start. Of course, a healthy Beanie would get his share, but a banged up back-up Beanie isn't someone I'd want to start, even if he did practice today.

I am forced to decide between Wells, Aromashodu, or Breaston, or possibly Fred Davis as my 2nd Flex. I just have to go with his chance of upside against St. Louis over those other unimpressive options...

I think i would roll with Beanie with those options. Mine are moreno or maclin...right now beanie is behind them both

What are reasonable projections for Hightower if Wells was inactive come game day?
Since Wells didn't practice I would have to think he would have little or no impact on THT on Sunday. I would say conservative projections for THT against a week St. Louis would be 80yds (combined) and a TD. When AZ played them last December The Wells/THT combo had 27 carries for 100yds & 2TDs plus 3rec for 28yds. And supposedly they are moving to a more run oriented offense. THT looks like a pretty safe play this week.

(RotoWire) Coach Ken Whisenhunt hinted that the Cardinals might go the cautious route with Wells (knee bruise) this week, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports. "What concerns me is I don't want this to be something in week 12, or week 13 or week 14 that you're having issues with," Whisenhunt said of Wells' knee issue Thursday. Analysis: Wells did not practice Thursday and Whisenhunt's words suggest that the team could rest their running back early on, with the long haul in mind. Either way, there will be more on Wells' status, at the latest by the time Friday's official injury report comes out.

Just put Hightower in my starting lineup

:(

So, any news yet regarding Beanie practicing today (Friday)?

I sat Pierre Thomas last night anticipating Hightower to be THE MAN against the Lambs. But I need Beanie on the bench!

I have both TH and beanie, Im rolling with TH and putting moreno in over beanie. I'd like to take the wait and see approach with beanie this week...
I'm in the same boat and rolling with Hightower. Not sure who is the hancuffer and who is the handcuffee in this scenario, I'm just glad I spent a few extra bucks to lock up Hightower in my auction ......

per Darren Urban @ Cardschatter:

Beanie Wells DNP today. Will be listed as questionable. Whiz said it'll be gametime decision. Could contribute a few plays, Whiz added.

Beanie officially questionable

The Cardinals are done with their practice for the week and for a third straight day, running back Beanie Wells did not practice with his bad knee. He will be officially listed as questionable for the game.

“Like I said, we do have three (other) backs we feel good about,” coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “So even if he is in a spot role, that is something I think Beanie could do. As far as starting, I’d have concerns about that but getting in for a couple carries here and there or just contributing, that’s not as big of a factor with where he has been.”

One of those other backs is Jason Wright, who was limited again with his sore toe. He too is listed as questionable. Everyone else on the injury report practiced fully and is listed as probable. Given the fact Beanie hasn’t practiced at all, I would be surprised if he plays Sunday. Very rarely does a guy miss all three practices and play — the only one to do it in the Whisenhunt era that I can recall was Adrian Wilson, who did so against the Bills back in 2008. He did make the play of the game, knocking out Bills QB Trent Edwards, but the bottom line was Wilson still only played six snaps that day.

And so, it’s time for the Rams.

From cbs sportsline:

If he's healthy, Wells would be worth using as a high-end No. 3 Fantasy option for Week 1.

High end no.3 option if healthy ? I would like to see their team if he's only a high end #3 option.
