Bears #1 team in NFL? (1 Viewer)

def. best team in the nfl right now.

however, the pool of super bowl "near misses" are littered with teams that peaked too early. 2004 KC and 2005 Ind are the two most recent.

Colts barely beat the Jets...

I would think it's a pretty clear picture who is the best team now.

Thoughts?
I am not drinking that kool-aid. Good team yes, best in NFL no way.
I am not a Bears fan, but (right now) no one else is close . . .
No one is close? That would mean the bears go 16-0 and win the SB. I look for them to get eaten alive in the playoff again. And easy schedule has it's disadvantages too.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Those types of statements are always good.

I agree but the Bears are more complete than either of those teams to this point, IMO. And I'm not saying the Bears are assured of a Super Bowl appearance yet either. There's still a lot of football left to play. I don't think anyone could ask for a team to be any more dominate than they have this year though. I couldn't be happier right now. :banned:

Last season, Seattle's schedule was pitiful. Their only victories against playoff teams were a squeaker against the Giants and a game against Indy's backups. It didn't hurt them.In 99, the Rams' schedule was pitiful. They didn't beat a single winning team. It didn't hurt them. What the Bears did last night was more impressive that what either of those teams did in the regular season. One won the Superbowl, one lost the Superbowl.People overrate that stuff, you can only play who you're scheduled to play...

???I don't think so - last year, through 12 or 13 games the Colts were as complete a team as had existed in the league for a decade. The Bears look good - no, they look great - but they have yet to sustain it for as long as the Colts did last year.

This was my emphasis. After 4 games, I'd say they're more complete but I understand it's not the same as 12 or 13 games.
