Bears S Mike Brown out indefinitely (1 Viewer)

How the Bears play through, without him will tell how good of team they really are. At least this time, he didn't get hurt running around, That was a pretty pretty nasty way to get bent backwords when he got hurt.

Not a big deal really...Bears have lots of depth at the position and can switch a few people around if needed.

:goodposting: If you have been following the Bears lately, Brown has become the captain only because he's popular in the clubhouse. His play has declined every year (mostly because he can't stay healthy), but more importanty I think that Lovie prefers the other safeties because they are faster and have better coverage skills.Brown is a good player who seems to be around the ball, but by no means is he a great safety. I'm not worried about losing him.

Too bad, the guy was great back in '01, but has lost a step each year, although one would still have to consider him a better than average starting safety.

Bears put him on IR today. He's done for the year.from rotoworld

Bears placed Mike Brown (foot) on injured reserve, ending his season.Brown, the quiet leader of Chicago's secondary, also missed 14 games in 2004 due to a torn Achilles' tendon. The Bears took some criticism for taking S Danieal Manning in the second round, but they certainly need the depth now. That said, Chicago will suffer a big drop-off from Brown when using either Chris Harris or Todd Johnson at strong safety the rest of the season. Oct. 19 - 2:22 pm et

Guess Chrtis Harris or Todd Johnson r the Irish guy Mcgowan will be the best safety ever. Too bad Brown will enjoy the SB with a walking cast on.
