So many free agent WRs available and they go the trade route. Cutler should be happy with the renewed connection to Marshall, but will the departure of Marshall impact Peyton Manning's landing spot?

2 3rd round picks which for Miami is basically nothing...there better be an awful good reason for this other than Marshall being a cancer because he wasn't a complete tool the time he was here. He definitely left a mark in the passing game and helped Miami a ton on offense, just don't really understand unless he cannot co-exist with Marshall.

Sign Reggie Wayne, find another WR thru free agency, hard to guess anymore what Miami is doing.

Like it for both teams. Chicago gets a top Wr without paying a huge FA contract for a couple of 3rds. Hooks up what was a great combo again in Cutler and Marshall. Love it. Love it! Way to go new Bears GM.

For Miami, I could come to love it depending on what happens now. If they lure Manning, Wayne and Clark (or bennett) to Miami, and then use their higher picks on another piece, it could be really nice for them to. Use the 3rd rounders on other needs on defense or more developmental players. could be a nice move for them too.

Man I wish Detroit had gotten in on that. Two 3rd rounders is not much for a guy like Marshall, who is a lot like Welker - not a ton of TDs, but gets a LOT of receptions.

That's so strange they'd give him up for 2 3rds. Three possibilities:

1. He was a headcase, they wanted to get rid of him and start fresh.

2. Peyton didn't want him there, and is going to sign there with Wayne.

3. They're clearing up cap space for a major signing (Mario, Flynn, etc?)

4. They're going to give vincent jackson a massive contract. Pretty much swapping vjax in for bmarsh, and getting 2 3rd rounders for free in the process.

Or maybe a 5th option or some combo of all of them, who knows!

Love this move as an owner of both Marshall and Cutler in multiple leagues. Cutler will definitely lock onto Marshall at times, with decent to good results, considering past history. Marshall broke the receptions record for 1 game with Cutler throwing him the ball, if I remember correctly.

Philbin is from GB, a team that builds through the draft. I don't see him being totally on board with bringing in a ton of FA players. Although, Ross seems like the type, so maybe.

I think it's the fourth of three possibilities.

Can I be the first guy to second that?

Jackson will be getting boatloads of more money than Marshall. Terrific move by the Bears.
