Interesting observation on the Panthers' beat writer... Where's home Jene?Hopefully we'll get some indication early in the week. Beason has been a pretty big story locally despite the QB issues and at least one of the Panther beat writers is pretty on the ball (Darin Gantt) so I'd guess we'll hear tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.
Central Ohio (Springfield).Up late for any number of reasons, none of which had involved FBG. Way behind with my weekly FBG stuff right now. Thanks for your insights this year. Not sure how far you are from Cleveland (I'm assuming that's the closest NBA city)... but let me know if you'd like to attend a game sometime. My treat. DeShaun Foster (toe), Dan Morgan (Achilles), Adam Seward (leg), and Nick Goings (concussion) were held out of Panthers practice Wednesday.
Foster is a new addition to the injury report. Carolina is coming off a bye, so it's a concern that he's not practicing. DeAngelo Williams would start against the Colts if Foster can't. Morgan doesn't appear close to returning. Oct. 24 - 1:16 pm et

I started Beason this past week so i was tuned in to this game for a while, didnt watch the whole game but saw a lot of it. In the first half the Panthers offense really dominated time of possession, and when Indy did get the ball they didn't do much with it (Second half was a completely different story obviously). No he didn't put up great numbers this week, but in terms of playing the position well, he did make a couple of huge pass deflections in the first half and a couple nice stops. He also made a play where he stripped the ball from the receiver for a fumble, but that play was overturned and ruled as an incomplete. Overall Indy didn't run up the gut very much or throw many dump-offs to their RBS which is where recent middle backers have had a lot of opportunities to make plays in recent weeks. Im also a Dj Williams owner and when Denver played Indy, DJ made a lot of tackles on Dump off passes and running plays right up the middle. I think the Panthers really like the job Beason is doing and hopefully will consider keeping him there should Morgan return anytime soon. Regardless, this guy is a future IDP stud IMO.Bump. He was in the middle, but didn't put up great numbers. Anyone watch the game and have some insight as to why his numbers dropped off this week?Is IND typically a bad matchup for LBs?
I caught a little bit of the game, and it seemed to me that Beason had a lot of coverage responsibilities, I'm guessing as an attempt to slow down Indy's offense. On most of the runs and short passes I saw he seemed to get to the ball carrier about a half second too late to be making the play because he was coming from another (usually deeper) part of the field.I started Beason this past week so i was tuned in to this game for a while, didnt watch the whole game but saw a lot of it. Morgan has yet to practice this week. Question stays on the backburner for now, but with every passing week I believe it's less likely that Morgan returns to the middle.Going back to the orginal question. Will Beason stay in the middle? whats the word on Morgan?
thanks, this is great news (well for Beason anyways). With no threat to replace him in the middle.. Beason should finish out the season strong. Just dropped Ernie Sims for him
don't know if i would have done that ... Sims has been putting up better numbers than Beasonthanks, this is great news (well for Beason anyways). With no threat to replace him in the middle.. Beason should finish out the season strong. Just dropped Ernie Sims for him
Might want to check out the other forum for this question. here ya gowould you drop Zach Thomas, Lofa Tatupu, or Rock McIntosh for Beason?
