Belichick was mad after the game (1 Viewer)

I'll never say a bad thing about Peyton Manning again. Not just with jesture of taking the Championship hat off before approaching BB, but the post game comments, the press conference. He is truly a class act.
I hope it didn't take you this long to realize that...The arguement could always be made in the past about his post-season struggles (although it was a bunch of BS), but his level of class has always been extraordinary.
:ptts: As for the Belichick moment with Peyton, I must have missed it since there seemed to be none. The coach pretty much seemed to blow right past Peyton.
He did blow past him and they had and awkward bumping into eachother/handshake and it was so quick and awkward Peyton padded BB on the back. It was weird.Peyton was classy and BB was a #####. He is a sore loser. Look how he acted when mangini beat him in NE this yr.

Looks like we still need a knitting circle smilie.

And for the record, anyone who said that BB didn't congratulate Dungy on the field is dead wrong.

Belichick did have a nice moment with Dungy, but his behavior with Manning at the end of the game and since is annoying me. He was on WEEI, as he usually is, on the Monday evening drive with the Big Show crew. Each time one of the guys asked him about Peyton and his performance, his stock answer was "well, they throw the ball very well, they spread it around to a number of players," yada yada yada.

Not only won't he refer to Peyton by name, he won't even reference him as "he." This is getting a little tired. His behavior with Mangini was bad enough, although there he felt betrayed. But Manning? I don't get it anymore. I love BB, I love the Pats, but lets get over it. We lost....take it like a man and show some respect.

He did have a very odd moment with Manning when they were showing the midfield handshakes. Did anyone else notice?
This got a lot of play in the game thread. Peyton certainly seemed very intent on getting to BB although he was initially blocked by a horde of photograpers (he didn't shove any though :lmao: ). They showed him getting a AFC Champions hat on his way over and he took it off straight away - I would guess he thought it was impolite to wear it until after he had talked to Belichick. The gesture was however lost on BB.
I was a little disappointed with BB at that moment too. Especially since he had seemed so congratulatory to Dungy.I'll never say a bad thing about Peyton Manning again. I suppose it is much easier to be a class act when you win.
:lmao:Dungy and Manning have had plenty of losses in big games during which they've shown their class.
Practice makes perfect. :goodposting:

 You and other listen to him on EEI. What gives? Is it shtick with him, or is he seriously this obsessed with holding grudges. And, if it's the latter, how did the whole Manning grudge get started? He's kicked Manning's ### enough in the past that I thought he'd be above this sort of nonsense.

That's what I noticed. When BB and Manning finally got to each other, it was almost like BB brushed him off. He barely said a thing to him and kept walking. I guess everyone has their way of handling losing. You would think that after winning 3 Super Bowls, he'd be a LITTLE more gracious. Hell, he barely said a thing to Dungy!
:censored:
Truth... hurts?
Damn...he had just about a seminar with Dungy when he got to him...they shook hands, hugged, talked, maybe even grabbed a cup of coffee... However, I could care less about what coaches do after the game...I would rather be pissing and moaning about what they did during the game (HEATH EVANS DRAW PLAY?????????????). So long as they don't start drawing a tantō and commit seppuku in some corner of the stadium, I am fine with what ever they do... when did we all start taking up knitting and putting our hair up in buns in the shark pool? What is next, shame on the fans for making effigies of opposing quarterbacks??????

He acted just like he did when NE beat the Jets in NY. Just seconds before, there's a very warm embrace w/ Dungy, then he goes to Manning, gives him a handshake. I'd say he's a little closer with Dungy? Knows him a lot better. Mountains from molehills fellas. Did he shake hands? Is there a time limit to how long you're supposed to ebrace to make it "classy"? He did what he was supposed to, move on.

I think it's THEY, because the receivers were generally running clean, as in blown coverages time and again by the secondary? There were a couple of nice passes, but be honest, Most were easy throws, because of the routes. It was a great TEAM victory by the Colts. Hence, the they. It wasn't Peyton Manning passing to Peyton Manning, with Peyton Manning holding the Dlinemen off. You're actimng like it was Blanda out there. Drop back to pass 3x, if that doesn't work, I'll drop back further and punt the darn thing.

Nah, it wasn't like that. Don't know if you heard the interview, but to me it was abundantly clear that BB was making a concerted effort not to recognize Manning, or at least make reference to him. You had to hear the silences by the talk show guys after BB answered these questions. I could almost see them looking at each other and saying silently "that was strange." Fred Smerlas and Steve DeOssie each asked questions about Manning specifically...after that, I think they were afraid to ask anymore.Look. I don't want to make much more out of this, but his behavior is curious at best and troubling at worst. On many occasions after games where they've won or lost, BB has referenced great performances by their opponent's players (well, mostly when they won, but you get what I'm saying). I understand the guy hates losing...I get that. But would it kill him to give a little credit where credit is due. As I've stated previously, I am a died in the wool Pats fan. Heck, I worked security for the Kraft's at Foxboro Stadium before they bought the team. I'm not impugning my allegiance to the team when I question the motives of its coach. A lot of fans will just brush this off or think that I'm out of my tree for suggesting this. All I know is that when I was brought up I was taught to believe what is put out in front of you. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.

Bill Belichick is starting to act like one strange duck.

The interview I'm listening to here http://rope.weei-am.fimc.net/podzinger.htm he's very complimentary of the Colts, he refers to Peyton as "he", "Manning" and is pretty much how he is in every interview I've ever heard, win or lose. I don't listen to EEI daily, because I live in Central NY, but now that I've found it, thanks.

Manning (And the Colts) have beat them 3 times in a row now, right? What's the series at? Maybe that monkey is starting to hop aboard the Pats' back when it comes to the Colts.
