Texans rookie RB Ben Tate had to be carted to the locker room after sustaining a lower right leg injury in the preseason opener.
Tate showed nice burst on the 12-yard gain but stayed down after an ankle tackle. He had to be assisted off the field and couldn't put weight on his right leg. He was carted to the locker room shortly thereafter. The injury looked serious enough to keep him out for at least a week and possibly longer.
