Maybe because he really hasn't been ruled out for the weekend?They don't need to rule anyone out by Friday, and even then he could just be listed as "Doubtful", which is basically the same thing.

Ok, well this will be, what, the 4th time Maroney will be Questionable, right? As far as I know, "Questionable" means three is a 50/50 chance the player will play. That's means Maroney should have played in two of those games, for that Questionable tag to be accurate. Now, I know there's no way to be totally accurate, but it seems like they should be policing this more, which would be real easy to do.If the Pats, for example, have had 20 Questionables on their reports so far this year and only 3 to 5 times has the player played, then Goodell should say "hey, start listing these guys as doubtful, because you have been way off."Either that, or they should get rid of the system alltogether. I don't care one way or the other, but it's BS that some teams follow the guidelines, and some dont.

I cut/pasted from Dodds report that came out right before I posted that. So I think that's from the NFL issued one.Whacky.... is this really probable?... or is the "whatever, as long as I list him on the report the league can't bust me" rhetoric from BB?!!The game is two more days away... maybe they just wanted him to stay off it and they'll tape him up and give it a go. I'd say they won't worry about getting him in there vs Miami... but with the laser focus the Pats have been having... they'll treat this game like a playoff game.... 48-10...Watsonless, Morrisless, and perhaps even Maroneyless.

The Patriots released their Friday injury report, and DL Mike Wright (knee) was a new addition. Wright, who started against the Cowboys at right defensive end, is questionable.

Every player on the injury report is questionable, except for RB Sammy Morris (doubtful, chest) and QB Tom Brady (probable, right shoulder).

Nah, punishments like that have proven to not affect BB. And while I know this isnt the point of the thread (which is Ben Watson), how ridiculous is it that Brady is still on there? Im sure BB is doing it just to spite (there was even a satirical TV segment on ESPN last week about this in which numerous NE players participated).Serious question about this though -- whats the point of those injury reports? Why is this important? Do you think opposing coaches really use this to game plan? Cuz if they dont and its just a BS BFL rule then I really dont think it matters one way or the other. But if its some sort of gentelmanly thing coaches do so they can each prepare accordingly, and then everyone follows it properly but BB, then thats just a **** thing to do.

Watson won't play this week and is probably 50/50 to suit up against the Colts. We'll know more about his status for the IND game by the end of the week.
