Bench Tomlinson? (1 Viewer)

Yes, I play with some guppies in this league.

Yes, you can join next year if you are in the Baton Rouge area.

Kevin Jones and Shaun Alexander have great matchups, LT has struggled in Denver in the past. No way can anyone really bench him, can they?

Will answer yours...

With the roll LT2 has been on, I don't bench him against the '85 Bears.

While the SEA matchup may be solid, I'm not sure SA will deliver like the stud we all remember from last year. He's certainly no guarantee that would entice me to bench LT.

Well, in your league, you could start Larry Johnson, Willie Parker, Alexander, Tomlinson, Jones, Westbrooks or Steven Jackson. I'd leave Rudi and Tiki on the bench.

That's not a guppy league; that's onanism.

I knew I'd catch heat for thinking this, but I am seriously considering doing it. It would take some stones. Whether they are in my head or elsewere remains to be seen...

I think your original post answers it all:1) "I hate this type of post, but"2) "Guppie"Please sit Tomlinson. It's the non-guppie thing to do.

Yes. Anytime a player rattles off a five-game streak like LT's had, you bench him. Next.
It's a tough situation to figure. On the one hand, he's had five awesome games in a row, so he's due for a clunker. On the other hand, he's had five clunkers in a row at Denver, so he's due for an awesome game there.

Definitely bench Ladanian.

While you're at it, send the drunk and horny supermodel home early.

Anything else I can help with, please PM shuke and he'll ring my cell.

Very prescient comment here. Knowing how well he has done the last four weeks virtually guarantees a return to average. I anticipate that for the remainder of the year he will only score 2-3 tds total. Now might be a good time to sell high if you can get Joseph Addai or Fred Taylor for him.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Oh I'm not laughing at your joke, I'm laughing because you're seriously thinking of benching the #1 fantasy player to start a guy who still has a broken bone in his foot.THE MATCH UP! THE MATCH UP! Maybe Alexander will do BETTER than 4 TDs!

I can see you scared because LT plays Denvers 5th rank run DT..but Denver has the 27th ranked pass DT..and LT (STUD OF ALL STUDS) happens to have the 28th best receivers stats (and he's a RB)..bench him he's worth nothing this week 11 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm all for playing matchups. Sometimes even to a fault. But uhhh... bench LT because of other players' matchups (one of which is coming back from an injury) and because of his history vs. Denver? :loco:

This would be like benching Alexander last year against a Chicago or some other tough defense. You just don't do it...

I cant get one person to at least say that I could think about it?Not one?
You can get several of us to point out that you're a tool. I think you have that base covered.
:bag: I can take the heat. I wonder if anyone else out there will consider benching him, ever. I am afraid LT needs some rest. Too many carries lately into the endzone.
If your scoring system devalues touchdowns then go for it.

:hey: not at all!

you've got to have your head examined....seriously

why not let Alexander get a game under his belt and start that guy that scored 41.90% of your total points last week---what did he need to do to remain in your starting lineup...score 50 ?!?!?! :loco:

next question....how did you get Alexander and LT---keeper league?

or is it redraft, and did you acquire in trade?

just curious

Finkle is Einhorn....Einhorn is Finkle!:cuecryinggametheme:FWIW - I'd bench LT and not have a second thought about it...I just hope my opponent this week who owns him feels the same way

Traded Chester Taylor and Fred Taylor for him about 5 weeks ago. Also traded Muhammad and Foster for Kevin Jones in week 2 i think.

Just super lucky so far and play with some of the players not so serious folks.

I have been talking smack to em about not starting a wr one week and not starting a rb another. It had a 12 man roster so bye weeks were tough and alot of folks dropped good players. Its how i got Brady and Ravens. Lost Crumpler when i dropped him but got Watson. Not that anyone cares, but you asked.

L5UT1ger - people are hitting you pretty hard and having fun doing it. Glad you're taking it with good spirit. Hang in there buddy. :)

 I have to win one out of four games in the next two weeks to cinch a two round bye. Its not like im starting Taco Wallace or something...If i lose those im still in the playoffs. I dont believe in karma...

You see that's why this thread is a waste..you knew it all the time that you be in the playoffs..playing against the two lowest team in your league (yes we see the double header type league your in). Waste of time here with a idiotic moron..PS: GO YANKEES 2007... :lmao: :lmao:

Dueling fallacies, I love it!

Wow. It's the NFL Network's "Benching Julius Jones" ad being played out in real life.

Announcers:

Touchdown Tomlinson!

Touchdown Tomlinson!

Touchdown Tomlinson!

LaDanian finally puts the Broncos curse behind him.

You on couch:

(groan)

Good point. I just saw that Denver signed Ray Nitschke, **** Butkus and Bronko Nagurski last night. They may be able to hold LT to 3 TDs, which is well below his recent average. He might not even pass for a TD this week either.
