I'm as big a Chiefs hater as you will find. It was the correct call. Do I wish they missed that call? Absolutely. But it was DPI no doubt. Great teams bait lesser teams into making crucial mistakes and take advantage of it. I think that's also part of why you will see these calls happen. NFL officials know how great this Chiefs team is, how hard they are to cover on offense especially late in games, so opposing defenses are going to be scrutinized and looked at closely for any kind of penalty more than, say, the first quarter of the game. They're always looking out for penalties, it's their job to, but especially so when the Chiefs are on offense. As a Pats fan I've been blessed to see the entire Brady/Belichick dynasty run and know what that looks like firsthand. Great teams find ways to bait their opponents into mistakes and then take advantage of those mistakes (Malcolm Butler, Dee Ford, etc.). I can't speak for the BS of that Spags timeout that was allowed last week, but it is what it is.
Before the Chiefs fans lash out at me, keep in mind it goes the other way too. We saw it with Kadarius Toney last year in the game against the Bills. It was the right call then too.
