Bengals WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh-OUT (1 Viewer)

ESPN just reported him as "inactive" today and Chris Henry will start.

how good of a play does chris henry become if tj doesnt play?
I'm taking an "I'll believe it when I see it" approach with Henry. If you have more proven options, play them.
Not to hijack, but did you see last season and the preseason? Henry is good and the Bengals usually give him some looks in the redzone too. If TJ is out, Henry becomes a solid play in all leagues
Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm a bit leery of him for some reason. Probably because of his off-the-field issues. You could be right and Henry could be a good play, but I want to see if his head is in the game before I pass official judgement on him.
Seriously, I'm a Bengals homer. D's are scheming to limit Chad, the WR2 should see a ton of targets. Plus Henry and Palmer have really seemed to click. I wouldn't be surprised to see Henry get over 100 yards and a TD today

I have the feeling there were a couple guys following this one...Oh, and to confirm, ESPN just said he will be OUT.
ESPN did not say he is out. Clayton just said that he will not start but could get some action. From a fantasy perspective I would look elsewhere, but he could play a few plays and you never know, a TD could happen.

not sure what you were listening to but me along with everyone else heard he was out.LINK to story you can start him but you will get a goose egg.

I wouldn't just plug in Chris Henry at WR3, I'm probably going to play Michael Clayton over him even with Housh out.
:lmao: good luck with that...
Henry with Housh out last year:Week 5: 3 for 85, 1 TDWeek 6: 1 for 5What I'm thinking is, you could get either of those as a result this week from Henry. Though Henry did look good in the preseason. What the hell...I'll roll the dice and play Henry.

Yes, Bob Holtzman reported it live from KC.

what happened in week 6? 1 for 5 is not good at all! 3 for 85 isnt great. i would like to see at least 5 catches. this scres me a little or is there more to this then these stats. liek did henry start those games? he was a rookie and that was early on.

Yes, ESPN did say he is out. About 3 seperate times.

:goodposting: And yet, some are ready anoint Henry as Swann to Chad Johnson's Stallworth.

You're going to miss out on a good week from Henry. Your loss

Not a Henry owner. I'm already missing out on a legend.

as the preseason infor from fbg.com shows, henry didnt get a lot of snaps in week 6. let's not forget that was his 6th game ever in the nfl. since then he has showed great promised (just not off the field).Week 5 - Henry made the most of his opportunities, making receptions of 47 yards and 25 yards on the same play. The 25 yarder was a touchdown catch. He was also the intended target on another over 40 yard throw to the end zone that fell incomplete. Week 6 - Henry got his second straight start for an injured Houshmandzadeh and had some disappointing numbers this week for fantasy owners. Henry saw limited targets and did not see a lot of snaps and finished the game with just one reception for five yards.

Damn, do I play Henry or Mason as my #3. My opponent has Palmer so I like the cancel effect but I think I have to with Mason, don't I?

I was hoping he'd play. I have a TOUGH decision to make now. :sadbanana:

I keep starting Chris Henry, then not...then starting him...ugh.

I picked up Henry in 1 league debating on starting him over Blaylock.

Edit in a PPR league..

Ah, what the hell, Im starting him. In a strange, masochistic kind of way, this is what FF is all about!

Henry is a very good start with Housh out. He'd be a serviceable start even if Housh were playing, but this seems like a no-brainer if you don't have any rock-solid WR options today.

I'm starting him over Steve Smith and Matt Jones today.

I week 6 Chad had 8 for 135 and a TD, and Chris Perry had 9 for 45 and a TD. Henry was playing in his 5th game as a pro. No Perry this week, and Palmer has more confidence in Henry at this point. Henry was the last Cincy WR to catch a pass from Palmer last year, it was a 60+yd bomb.

Not saying he's a top 15 WR every week - he's clearly behind Chad and TJ, but he's starting this week for the best offense in the league and has a good defensive matchup.Dude got arrested like 20 times this offseason - the Bengals kept him for a reason

i have this same dilemna, buit think about it. clayton vs baltimore's good de and henry in a possible shootout. both wr's are #2's. have to go with henry. dont you think?
I wasnt saying Henry isnt a good start. I was more rolling my eyes at this moron for his statement. Its not an easy decision.

little help needed. need to play 4 of 5

1pt per reception

big bonuses for long td's

Donald Driver

Plaxico Burress

Lee Evans

Reggie Brown

Chris Henry

unfortunately it seems you might be right.

I still think Henry was the right play. It's kind of like poker... If you fold your 72o and 3 7's come on the flop.. you still made the correct play.

I think FBG's get a big :ptts: on Chris Henry here. I don't see any mods in here yet, but I'd like to hear the rationale of putting Henry as a middle WR2 yesterday.

Hindsight is 20/20 but to put Henry in above almost 50% of the starters in the NFL is something I'd like to hear about.

btw, when i said that with Houshmandzadeh out, Chris Henry will be :moneybag: , what i meant was that he would score 0.7 points for your fantasy teams.

:bag:
