Fantasy wise?

The game with the Lions is very intriquing on many fronts. You would think Phili is reeling and everything points to Phili getting it going? I mean Super Bowl ambitions and all. Hmmmm........the lions are not the old lay down lions any longer. Phili could go 0-3? Ouch. Does Phili bounce back? Does McNabb?

Well, does McNabb become a viable fantasy player this year? Top ten, top five as presented to be, or simply falls off the map?

I am tending to think with all the negative press, McNabb bounces back. He's just gotta...........or is he too deep into the negatives?

Your thoughts?

I expect him to bounce back slowly, like week 6 or so. Others have said Palmer was similar, and started out slowly coming back from this injury.

Someone in my league dropped McNabb for Derek Anderson. Big mistake! McNabb gets the 21st ranked pass defense this week while Anderson gets to face the Raiders (understandably low) the Ravens and 5th ranked Patriots. Plus, McNabb gets the GiAnts pass defense (?) the following week. Stay with McNabb and don't be impatient and dump talent for a flash in the pan.

Two words...LaShon Johnson. Dude ran for over 200 yards in a game 10 years ago for the Cardinals and was never heard from again. Don't be a victim of buying into a career game.

for what it's worth: most philly news reporters that i've had a chance to hear from are saying that mcnabb has until the bye week to produce a good game or he could be benched (this isn't really a reach). I personally think he has until the bye week and the week after (the coaches might think 2 weeks rest will help him clear his head and get better physically)...

sal palatonio (the espn reporter) was on philly comcast sportnet this afternoon and said the same thing various other beat reporters have said - that there's grumblings in the locker room from players and coaches and it's almost all directed at mcnabb and the attention his mouth is starting to get. what does this have to do with anything? if the players around you don't like you - that can be a problem. especially when you're 0-2.

with all this said... i expect something in the neighborhood of 250 passing and 2 tds...

i think this TE they have replacing LJ Smith is in for a big day.

I think it's blatantly clear that Kevin Curtis is the man to hold responsible for McNabb's impressive day so far.
