Best Draft Prospect Info Website? (1 Viewer)

Hey all, im looking to take my draft prospect research to the next level, and am wondering what sites you guys recommend for Draft prospect info. Info such as combine info, scouting info etc... anythign and everything

The one I have found is NFLdraftscout.com not sure of their pricing though, it says you need to contact them....and judging by their customers (NFL.com, USAToday, etc...) it could be pretty expensive.

Any and all recommendations welcomed. Thanks in advance. I dont want to limit this to just IDP but it seems the IDP forums have the most knowledgable people imo.

Don't forget about DraftGuys.com and DraftGuysTV. Sigmund and Cecil (and company) do a great job -- for free -- especially with their focus on lesser and small school prospects. And Matt Waldman's Rookie Scouting Portfolio is now a part of the FBG fold as well. He goes into great depth on about 150 offensive prospects, and is considering adding some defensive players in future seasons.

NFLDraftScout is solid. I don't remember the cost, but it's in line with most of the other services. Others that get a lot of love include GM Jr (though I think it's PDF only now), Pro Football Weekly (coming back around after losing Buchsbaum), and Frank Coyle's service. In past years, Yahoo! has had some free stuff from Coyle and Chris Landry. ESPN's Insider content from Scouts, Inc is okay in parts as well.

I've used all of the above at some point in the past five years. I used to swear by Coyle and PFW, but I haven't been as impressed over the past two seasons there. I tried NFLDraftScout last year and liked them, but the web site can be a royal pain to use if you go there often. Not sure what I'll be doing this year yet.

DraftScout was good with combine data last year, as was Great Blue North if I remember correctly. But you'll get a lot of good data and discussion in the Shark Pool as the combine approaches (there's already some good stuff from Draftguys from the all-star games) and nearly in real time.

Good info Jene. I echo a lot of what you say. Sig and Cec are great. Matt's RSP is fantastic, but he doesn't do IDP, or at least he hasn't in the past. I really like DraftScout, but the web site is brutal. Worth the info though. I like GM Jr and welcome him back after he took last year off of the guide for a family tragedy. He (Russ Lande) is also on the Sporting News War Room site, which is quite good. I used to like Coyle, but I agree it hasn't been as good the last several years. He seems to repeat too many phrases from player to player. I do still like PFW, although they're not as good as they were with Joel. One other person I like is John Murphy. He's the head of Next Level Scouting and he does alot of the NFL Draft Bible, which is pretty good. Although to be honest, I cannot tell from the web site how to order the guide, LOL. Maybe they're not doing it this year? I did hear something about John becoming a CFL executive or something. Hope this helps.

Murphy was indeed named GM on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this week. We're psyched for him, he deserves the success. He's one of the main forces behind Texas vs the Nation. He participates in the guide at NFL Draft Bible.

It took a few years, but I think PFW rebounded very nicely from the sudden loss of the late great Joel Buschbaum. I'm with Jene, Draftguys do an outstanding job, especially with the lesser name prospects.
