Steve Perry from Journey? He's who I always considered to have the best voice....by a long shot.
Thanks for playing. Your contributions are appreciated.
Thanks smartass but when you drop the ball, you need to be called on it.
This is true. Journey was one of the pioneers of Grunge in the 90's. Their omission is glaring.
none of them hold a candle to Andrea Bocelli!
I see what you did there.

I think most of his music blows, but Cornell has the best voice.

I don't think nirvana has stood the test of time and Kurt's voice is not in the same area code as any of these guys.

Voice to voice I'll go Layne over Vedder, but Vedder has a much better music catalog. Jar of falls is the best album any of these guys have produced though.

Layne, then Chris. How Eddie is even on the list baffles me... but then again, I can't stand Pearl Jam. :X

Layne, Kurt, Chris, Eddie.
i think anybody that goes this route is falling victim to the love that dead rockstars get.

I went Layne then Eddie, and i think Eddie is getting grossly under-rated here. his range is nuts. Cornell is an awesome singer too, just think i'm in the mood for grittier right now. pretty sure my choices could change tomorrow

Poll asks for best voice, not best singer. Chris is probably the best singer but the best voice goes to Layne or Eddie.

Love them all in their own ways. Chose Cornell because his best always was amazing. Staley's performance and grit for AIC was great, but that unplugged set still brings forth emotions no matter how many times I see it. I picked them 1 and 2 respectively, I love me some vedder, and I think all those three were years ahead of Cobain.

Was never a huge Soundgarden fan, but always like Chris's vocals. Saw him live for the first time a few years ago on a solo tour and MAN does he have a strong voice.
