Wow, I've got 3 of those guys on my team already.Good list.Duaner Sanchez has also recently started pitching well. He IS the 8th inning guy for the Mets when they are up.Heath Bell
Carlos Marmol
Scot Shields
Jonathon Broxton
Taylor Buchholz
JP Howell
Hong Chih Kuo
Matt Thornton
All of those guys are either on my rosters or watch list.
Buckholz has SP eligibilty as wellif you play in a league without "P" eligible players, jp howell is a great middle reliever with "SP" eligibility. in those leagues, howell and kuo have some nice value towards the end of the season.

I hear ya. I sent out a lot of trade offers today and got a lot of them rejected. I think the mindset of the other owners is that I'll just end up dropping all of them. I did drop J. Weaver for Scott Shields today but that was all.I think I might just sit tight and rotate my line-up to AVOID starts everyday. This way, no one gets the benefit, or in my case, the pain/loss of using the starters.Octavio Dotel is another good one with a high K rate and good ratios. May vulture a few saves here and there as well, although Linebrink seems to be the better bet for that while Jenks is on the DL. What pitchers are you dropping to pick these guys up and what are you hoping to gain with dropping them for middle relievers? Are you hoping for some vultured wins and saves without sucking up too many innings or are you looking for low ratios or high K/9 or what? If they are really good pitchers you could be setting someone up really well for the second half and you'd be better off keeping them on your bench until someone that sees those W's wasted on your bench decides to make you an offer. You might be better off just benching them and only cherrypicking the best pitchers in the best matchups until your innings run out and then just sitting on the guys knowing that no one else is benefitting from their stats. Somebody will be hurting for pitching and make you an offer.
I don't know what pitchers you're holding onto but a couple elite MR's should produce greater numbers than many starters, especially if you're already pushing the IP limit. A Kuo-Bell combo would be sitting on the following numbers98 2/3 IP, 2.00 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 99 K, 9 WThose are the numbers of a top 10 pitcher. Now, obviously you can't fill your roster with MR's because you'll never hit the IP limit but mixing in a few of these guys instead of going with fringe starters will almost always do your roster well. An elite MR-duo = an elite starter while sacrificing an extra roster spot - I think it's worth the price. I drafted Bell in one league in which I drafted too many SP's, I have since dropped Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez for Taylor Buchholz and JP Howell, I was sitting on 4.40/1.43 ratios and was way ahead of the IP pace before adding them, now? 4.25/1.36, back on the pace, and slowly improving. Brandon Morrow, Rich Harden, and ridding myself of Joe Bo has helped as well but you see my point.MR's are vastly under rated in roto leagues by most, I understand you want to see if you can get a nibble on your starters first but once your trade deadline comes around overhaul your roster with MR's.eoMMan said:I hear ya. I added him yesterday in my deep league when I moved McGowan to the DL, he has been dealing all year but epecially the last few weeks. With Nunez ailing he's likely moved into Soria's backup. Is Mahay from KC available? He's pitched well this year.Oh yeah, pretty everyone already mentioned in this thread is already taken.
