Best Money Leagues ? (1 Viewer)

Hit-em

I'm thinking of joing another money league & was wondering what are some of the better ones out there ?

I'm looking for one that has a decent pay out with live drafts with a 2 minute limit on picks.

I'm playing in the WCOFF this year for the 3rd time & want to try my hand at another league for about $100 or so.

Thanks

BIG difference between WCOFF and a $100 league or did you lose a zero?

The NFFC (14 team leagues) is also very good and has live drafts in Las Vegas, Chicago and New York if you are really looking for a big money league

And both of them have online leagues for anywhere from $100 to $1000

Have you looked into the OMEGA leagues run by FBG unlucky?http://www.phenomsff.com/leagues/omega/index.html

A lot of FBGs play these. It's very competive and will give you a great idea of what will happen in the WCOFF draft.

I'm looking for something not quite as intense as the WCOFF League. My pocket book can only take so much

In regards to the $100 it's just something to keep my interest kind of like betting on skins during a round of golf.

I should of posted that I'm looking for a league that does live time drafting with a 2 minute time limit .

:goodposting: Definitely check out the Omega League Rules...for $100, you'll be in a very similar League to the National Contests, and be facing quality competition across the board...

If Omega doesn't appeal to you, Unlucky has a League for just about everyone's preferences.

His Leagues make everyone a better player:

- Plenty of acumen-rich Owners, from here and elsewhere. You really have to be on the stick to win those Leagues, and a League Championship is something well earned, and something to be proud of

-relatively inexpensive price tag allows you to try new formats, and get a taste for other styles of FF you might be interested in, without hitting the wallet too hard.

-top quality payouts, and quality administration from an fbg who many around here know well and will endorse in terms of his efficiency and integrity.

You really can't miss here. Good Luck!

Epsilon 40 is a great choice Sept 3, Sun night. A great tune up and the chance at big bucks. That's a $200:00 league. I thought you were looking for something a little cheaper?

I was just looking at that. It's after the preseason and before the regular season.OH! It will give you a heads ups alright. These guys are the best. Study that draft results closely, your going to see it again Sept 9th.

I've been mulling over getting into a $1000 league this year but I'm wary of not getting paid. I've always played in leagues where I have some connection to the other players and knew the the commisioner(local league, work league, friend in another city, etc.). I'd love to hear from Footballguys who have:

1) Played in higher stakes online leagues

2) Won

3) Gotten their money within a reasonable amount of time

My one personal experience with a national publications league was not very good. Luckily it wasn't much money, and after about a year I finally got paid. I would assume that these websites offering high stakes leagues must be paying or these boards would be littered with complaints. TIA

I like the Fantasy Jungle league. http://www.fantasyjungle.com/

Very cool scoring system (you play against every team in your league every week) So if you have the highest score you go 11-0 and if you have the lowest you go 0-11 amd so on...

I am looking for some high stakes leagues ($300 and up) where there AREN"T as many FBGers. I prefer to play against inferior competition! :P

Let me know what you guys have played and like out there...

I like those rules a lot. Interesting. Looks like the costs start at $400:00, Is that right?

A little too expensive for me. I already joined the $50:00 and $100:00 OMEGA leagues. So, maybe another $50:00 is all I can afford this year.

:goodposting: When it comes to High-Stakes Leagues, this is exactly the mindset those of us in the financial position to participate in them should be taking.

In free Leagues, or ones with a 'small' investment (and to each of us, 'small' is an individually relative term), bragging rights and the personal pride I take in quality performance is a more than adequate reward for my efforts...

...but in the Nationals, if you want to hedge your bets and walk away with a significant return on your investments, you don't go looking for schools of sharks...you break out the harpoon, and go after pods of whales...

I was involved with one such League last year, with an extremely high entry fee, and would say that roughly 65% of the Owners in that League were there because they had the money to enter, though not necessarily the acumen to win...

The league I posted https://www.phenomsff.com/allleagues.phpWill pay out very timely. Just ask any FBG that plays there.

I was leery to send money to an unknown site, but Joe and D Dodd reccomended unlucky"s site so I felt safe.

I know people who got paid from this site.

I once had a $100:00 league cancelled, he notified us right away. I joined another $50:00 league and he mail the $50:00 balance before Labor day. Thats fast.

This is my 4th year in his OMEGA and other leagues.

I trust him.

EDIT: He doesn't carry $1000:00 leagues, but he does have a wish list

If he gets enough interest he'll start one.

Good luck.

Correct, Fantasy Jungle is $400.

I checked out http://www.phenomsff.com/ and that is a definite possibility.

Are there any other threads on FBG that talk about high stakes leagues? Has anybody played in the WCOFF? http://wcoff.com/
Thanks, I thought $400 was the lowest.Have you tried a search in the sharks pool? There are a lot of WCOFF players here.

I read them all the time. They say the competion is amazingly soft for such an high stake league.

Maybe someone will post something soon.

Thanks, just found it as well and was going to post it. Let me know if you find any others...
there's a very recent one on draft slot that i think was moved from here. you'll get them all quickly if you just search for "wcoff" in title only.i'll also add my recommendation for the phenoms leagues.

Without any doubt what so ever..just go here and join up then thank me later.http://www.xpertsports.com/list.php?show=public

Best pay outs I have ever seen in 12 years out here and one of the best draft engines and interfaces we have out here if not the very best. WCOFF uses Xperts and I am in 12 money leagues there and everyone has run like clock work. just do it you wont be sorry. Great customer servie and the owner is a Genius.

Will you let me know if you join the OMEGA league?

Unlucky always has trouble getting the $100 Omega to fill. I always join the $50 in the end but I hope he could get enough to fill both.

Another  for the phenoms leagues. Good payouts and always on time. Tough competition too.

I played in a couple of leagues there last year...lower stakes $50 leagues.I believe the highest stakes league there is $500. I really enjoyed it and got paid in a timely manner. I'll definitely be playing there again this year, but now I'm curious about the omega leagues also. I want to play in as many leagues as possible this year.

Thanks for the endorsements.

I'm going to update my "interest list" by the end of the week. I feel pretty confident in getting a $500 or $1000 league filled this year. If you're interested, drop me an email and I'll put you on the list. Once it's compiled, I'll email everyone to try come to a general agreement on draft style, time, and rules.

The $50:00 OMEGA already has 43 signed w/o any advertising and I know 3 more who are joining. The $100:00 OMEGA already has 14 in. I'm in and paid. So, if you are going to join and I'm sure a lot more from this site will, especially since there is always talk of "high stakes" leagues on this site. Out of 72 owners 16 will at least get their money back and the winner gets $2800:00. Not bad for a $100:00 league.

Yup have to agree with most here too..PHENOMSFF LEAGUES are great.

Check them out at phenomsff.com

By the way kinda suprised this thread lasted this long here..belongs in the dating game forum I believe. :bye:

Anyone ever play in one of the Antsports leagues. I was thinking about joining one of their $100 redraft leagues.

Phenoms FF does offer better payouts than Antsports. However, I can't offer 100% payouts. Payouts are as high as I can go and still make it worth my time to run the leagues. If you can find a trustworthy league that pays 100%, by all means play in that.To make a poker analogy: If you have a good home-game with no rake and players/dealers you can trust, that's the best way to go. However, if you're looking for a game and don't have enough friends or a trustworthy dealer, you have to play in the casino or online, where they take a rake.

Phenoms FF is the casino, offering you a trustworthy place to play FF. The rake is necessary, but I keep it as small as possible. In return, you get to play in a good game, have your league run on a great site with live scoring (myfantasyleague.com), and you get a 3rd party commissioner to ensure that the league is fair.

:lmao: Oh, my Penn St. brother...you don't wear a green visor do you?

Say it ain't so... :P

This will be my 4th year doing Unlucky's Omega League. Fifth year playing in an independant Dynasty League with him as well, where, based on the 'cred' he's established with his integrity and efficiency running the Phenoms Leagues, he's the treasurer.

Rock Solid. You can't miss with Phenoms.

I tried to join late last year (when you get that late urge for one more league) but all were full...

The OMEGA league is up to 57 already.
need to get that Omega 20 filled.
OMEGA 10 is just about full. Look for the spill over of guys who join late to fill OMEGA 20.
Unfortunately, the 'spillover effect' is a tough call, with Omega 10 being $50 and Omega 20 being $100. As much as I'd like to see it happen, it's hard to imagine folks who don't get into Omega 10 ponying up an extra $50 to participate in another Omega League...something about that sounds a little 'cart before the horse', but what do I know...In any event, we DO need to get the Omega 20 rolling. The higher the stakes in a contest like this, the better. I'm hoping perhaps that many of us who've done Omega since it's inception, might be convinced to put out that extra $50, and make the jump to the 'Big' League. If you're an Omega veteran, and the price of gas isn't killing your FF Budget, why not up the ante this year?

Now, here's an idea:

IIRC, the original Omega was an Eight Sub-League SuperLeague, which was reduced to 6 sub-Leagues in order to get it going. It was originally planned as a 96 Team contest...

...so, if there's enough interest to get 48 teams for Omega 20, I wouldn't have a problem with a Four Sub-League SuperLeague, run under this format. The math still works out for postseason play, etc...

I will gladly participate in Omega 20 if Unlucky will run it with 48 teams...

...anyone else on board with that?

iirc, two years ago, the start-up year for phenoms, unlucky was going to run omega as 48 teams. then you lead a charge and got us to 72. then last year, he decided the 72 team format worked well, so kept it there instead of going to 96. omega 10 has filled earlier (than previous year) each year since. we're just about there -- people just need to pay!

I went with www.rotobowl.com this year. Besides the $20,000 they pay out, they also give 2 tix to SB41. The money would be nice, but I'd love to go to the superbowl! Also, the FHM party after the live draft in A.C. won't be too shabby...

I'd do it with 48 teams. 16 teams make the playoffs, we'd finish week 15 instead of 16. Since this thread is about big money leagues, note that I've added a $500 league with 95% cash payout to the lineup.

...so, if there's enough interest to get 48 teams for Omega 20, I wouldn't have a problem with a Four Sub-League SuperLeague, run under this format. The math still works out for postseason play, etc...

I will gladly participate in Omega 20 if Unlucky will run it with 48 teams...

Is 48 the lowest you'll go?
