Best Return Special Teams (1 Viewer)

One of my FF league's is trying something new...they are giving points for return yards/scores for both individual players and Team Defense/Special Teams:

1 point for every 25 yards (punt and kick returns)

6 points for TDs (punt/kick/fumble recovery for TD)

Had Darren Sproles not been injured, I may have opted for the Chargers (however their D may not be that strong).

Are there specific players that will double as regular players and return kicks? Rod Smith comes to mind however I don't think he's been all that effective.

Is there a link to the starting punt and kick returners? I do have a subscription to Footballguys, so this is an option.

Thanks for the help.

Return teams are a crapshoot, but I'd look at the following:

Bears

Bills

Saints

Panthers

Giants

Bills have been one of the best Special Team teams over the last few years. Terrence McGee WAS the main punt returner but with a new coaching staff it's still unknown if he will still return kick-offs. The Bills do have about 3-4 other players on the team who could take over that job from Terr.

First, as a subscriber, check the Training Camp Reports. There is coverage of each Special Teams unit, plus returners are designated on the depth charts.Next, check the stats at nfl.com for return yardage...they diffferentiate PR and KR. Then check out the following threads:

Did a draft with IDP players that get credit for return yards, and this is the information I found. Hope this helps, good luck!

Your worst defenses will get the most return yardage due to opportunity (houston, tenn, oak)....but 1 for 25 return yards is not enough for them to be considered....
