Best TV crime solver/detective (1 Viewer)

Not a perfect show but also in the same vein as "Rockford" and "Veronica Mars" was "Terriers". Some of the best work Donal Logue has done since the "Tao of Steve". Catchy theme song too.
Terriers was sooo good...

Never got any traction though...

Easy.

Will Graham (from Hannibal) or Sherlock (Cumberbatch).

If a serial killer, Holden Ford.

“Would you believe...” Maxwell Smart - a little clumsy but he always had the logic to “outsmart” the bad guys, that was revealed at the end of the show, usually to “99” or “the Chief”.

Napoleon Solo from Man From UNCLE - Kuryakin was good but more of a technical wiz as opposed to great crime solving logic. Solo was always cool and calm regardless of the situation. Solo is probably “Bond-like” since Ian Flemming helped create the character.

James Bond would be my first choice but he is from movies, not TV. He was usually thinking a step or two in advance.

And although a superhero and not a detective, I was always amazed how Batman always had the appropriate tool in his belt to help him and Robin out of a predicament each week.

Going to go way old school with Ellery Queen.
I remember the TV series of that w Jim Hutton, where he would break the 4th wall just before the conclusion to ask viewers if they'd figured it out yet and point out clues they might have missed. LOVED that #### - i'd have dinner w the peeps every other Thurs when i was in town and me Ma, a mystery buff, would inSIST i stay for it and, for once, i didn't mind. Only lasted a season, though.

Loved that show. Sunday nights, right? David Wayne played his pops, I think.

Yeah, saw something today that the whole series will be moving to the new NBC streaming service, whenever that comes out.
Series?  Does that mean more than just a second movie?  Or just the catalog of the series is being moved there?

Plus they always had to have it wrapped up in about 25 minutes so the lawyers could take over and prosecute the case.  They were way more efficient than these hour long detectives....
Pretty much all the time fast forwarded through the detective part to get to ADA Carmichael's dogged prosecution skills
