Beta Draft Recap at MFL (1 Viewer)

Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but kind of neat in some regards.

For those of you with drafts on MFL, if you go the draft report, there is a tab called Draft Recap (BETA) that ranks each team's draft and assigns point values to each pick. Just thought I'd share....

The overall rankings seem to be somewhat consistent with my own rankings of the teams in the leagues i looked at it for, FWIW.

Coach Pictus Cat had a poor draft in the recent 2008 Footballguys Survivor - Round 1 - League 4 draft. Their Pictus Cat franchise came away feeling dejected about their bottom grade in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.Pictus Cat made their best pick of the draft in round 5, selecting LenDale White with the 59th pick of the draft, as compared to the 56th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "He can take this team to the Promised Land," Pictus Cat coach Pictus Cat said. Pictus Cat made their worst pick of the draft in round 14, selecting Roydell Williams with the 158th pick of the draft, as compared to the 264th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "His attitude is a question mark," Pictus Cat coach Pictus Cat said. After such a pathetic draft grade, coach Pictus Cat is motivated to prove to the league that their picks will overachieve and bring home the trophy.

1. Balls Deep Coach Gian (gianmarco) had an impressive showing in the recent 2008 Backyard Brawl III draft. Their Balls Deep franchise came away feeling exuberant about their top grade in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

Balls Deep made their best pick of the draft in round 2, selecting Clinton Portis with the 21st pick of the draft, as compared to the 10th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "You'll be hearing a lot from him," Balls Deep coach Gian (gianmarco) said.

Balls Deep made their worst pick of the draft in round 11, selecting Tim Tebow with the 147th pick of the draft, as compared to the 322nd spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "His attitude is a question mark," Balls Deep coach Gian (gianmarco) said.

Balls Deep owner Gian (gianmarco) committed a fairly major draft blunder, drafting only 0 starting PK, but league rules require him to have at least 1 to submit a valid week 1 lineup. Compounding matters, starting in week 6, they won't be able to submit a full lineup, due to having 1 defensive team on bye.

Balls Deep nabbed Randy Moss in the 2nd round, which reflects the fact that he was the number one ranked combined receiver for the 2007 season, based on this league's custom scoring rules.

Time will tell if coach Gian (gianmarco) can take their top-ranked draft all the way to the league championship.

No wonder Gianmarco likes it.

Yeah, this only works well in a dynasty if it's a startup, not for subsequent rookie drafts.

Apparently I wasn't supposed to draft Ray Rice in my startup until the 12th round.

It hates rookie drafts.On a side note, MFL seems to be making a lot of changes. I welcome the addition of player profiles and historic stats, but they've coupled those features with banner ads. Don't we pay a premium to avoid ads? Is this a sign of things to come?

it just doesn't work for rookie or keeper league drafts... long story short, it only works right now for initial drafts.

i was just looking at my league last year in phenoms omega ( reg season = weeks 1-11) and clicked on this. they rated me 2nd ( i was 5th)...and rated our league leader, who went 11-0 LAST.
