Pretty much agree with this. Saul was somehow sadder since Walter at least took out some bad guys as he was dying anyway. Saul being locked up for the rest of his life was quite sobering.

I had prepared myself for it since the series debut. There was no way he was going to escape accountability for what he did during the events of Breaking Bad.
The apex of BCS was Howard’s murder. Possibly the most shocking scene I’ve ever watched on TV.

SFU was much better ending than BrBa. I tell people this all the time and they act like I'm weird for it, but I hated that Walt died at the end. I wanted him caught and sent to prison. The entire show was about the slow destruction of his character, and I wanted to see him caught and hit rock bottom. Death felt like the easy way out.
Best finale of a show though was The Americans, followed closely by Justified.

They set us up for him dying at the end by giving him cancer at the beginning.
They did the “paying for their sins in jail” ending with Saul.

Even though it was only covered in one episode, Walt did spend the last few months of his life in his own prison: alone in a cabin in the cold, away from civilization, and with the knowledge that everyone, including his family, now hated him. Sure, that is not the same as rotting away in prisons for years, but with the cancer, he wouldn't have lasted long in prison anyway.

I have a confession to make. I have held off on watching the finale of BCS because I'm afraid that it will be satisfactory and I just don't want that world to end.

That black and white scene on the prison bus was Saul's last hurrah. After that it was pretty bleak.

Dont ever compare those shows to BB or SFU. Clearly a few tiers below.

The Americans is a much better show than SFU. Not quite on BB's level though. But a better finale episode than both of them.
Justified wasn't a great show, but it was a lot of fun, and also a great finale.

It was a half hour sitcom, but I thought The Good Place finale was great.

Tbh I never made it past Season 1 of Justified. Just felt like a Sons of Anarchy western

The Americans was excellent IMO. Great show. In the same general tier as BB/BCS.

Solid B from me. Definitely worth watching once but I doubt I'll ever revisit the series like I do with the greats.
