 Big Ben was golfing in a foursome and someone from his party (or maybe ben himself) were seen urinating between the 17 th and 18 th hole.... police or the owner of the golf course do not want to prosecute.... but giving the recent incidents and Roger Godell losing control over the NFL, dont be surprised if this thing gets very messy for Rothlisberger.... any thoughts?

I think this is a non issue unless he was super drunk had it out and knew she was watching and did not care.

My thought is that a thread topic of "big ben suspended all year?!?" is very misleading.

 Perhaps we can change it to 'BIG BEN SUSPENDED FOR LIFE!!!1111'?

Most ridiculous " news" story of the year. Guys pee on golf courses every day, wait it is Big Ben this time, oops turns out it wasn't him, oh well let's report it anyway.

It's illegal to pee on a golf course?I do it all the time and never thought twice about it. Everyone does it.
Surely you can't be serious, right? Not only is it illegal, but you can land yourself on the sexual predator list, which is ridiculous.
 I pee all the time on the golf course. I try to find a tree though
What do you have against trees?
They're shady

 I'm not sure if that was intended, or not, but brilliant pun.

I heard this on NFL radio from the beat reporter in pittsburg and this is the most rediculous way to try and get someone in trouble. Its sad that this even made the news.

In my best James Earl Jones voice (from Conan the Barbarian):

"Contemplate this on the tree of woe. Crucify him!"

Whether it's common place on the golf course or not (and it's kind of weird that everybody says that it is), if you have a few sexual assualt charges on you and you've been accused of walking around with your gray **** out or just pulling out your #### and telling girls to "do what you want" with it and you're suspended from your multi-million dollar job for such actions and bad decisions, it's probably not the smartest thing to whip out your junk in public, no matter where you are.

Police in Ohio investigated Ben Roethlisberger golf foursome for alleged public urination

"We received a call that said a member of the party urinated on private property," Ball told the paper. "We spoke to the golf course and they agreed to discuss this issue internally with their members."
Columbus Dispatch
Multiple reports yesterday suggested that a Dublin homeowner saw the troubled Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback urinating on the course during a round of golf early Friday evening. The woman reported the incident to the club and then called police, who investigated. But Roethlisberger and his friends had left the course by then, the woman did not press charges, and no citations were issued.

A source close to Roethlisberger told ProFootballTalk.com that the man seen urinating was another member of Roethlisberger's group. A woman who answered the phone at the club, after hearing the caller describe the man, reportedly told the caller that it was Roethlisberger. The caller then told police that it was Roethlisberger, according to the police report.

A club official told The Dispatch yesterday that it wasn't verified whether Roethlisberger or either of his playing partners was the culprit. The official said an employee was sent to the area between the 17th green and 18th tee, where the incident occurred, and found no golfers there.
Before playing the Country Club at Muirfield Village, Roethlisberger attempted to get a tee time at the more prestigious Muirfield Village Golf Club across the road. But according to a source at that club, he was denied. "His reputation precedes him," the source said.
TMZ
According to the report, a woman named Nan Fowler phoned the pro shop at the Country Club at Muirfield Village around 6:53 PM and complained that a white, tall male -- sporting a blue golf shirt and khaki shorts -- was "urinating into some trees." The report states that Nan was informed by the woman at the pro shop that the person who fit that description was Big Ben. Nan then called police and told them that the NFL star was peeing in public.

Cops eventually arrived to the scene and spoke with country club management -- and later determined that no crime had been committed. Sources connected to the investigation tell us cops never interacted with Roethlisberger -- because Ben was "long gone" by the time authorities had arrived.

Would it matter if his location was practically on her back porch? Some of those golf course houses are right on the curse.

Get it right or ####

Ohio authorities investigated a complaint that a member of Ben Roethlisberger's golfing foursome urinated publicly on the Country Club at Muirfield course, but issued no citation.

Dublin police said Tuesday that the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback wasn't the person who urinated behind a pine tree between the 17th green and 18th tee box of the course bordering the Jack Nicklaus-built course that's home to the PGA's Memorial Tournament.

Instead, it was one of three unnamed friends from Roethlisberger's hometown of Findlay, Ohio. The woman who complained, Nanette "Nan" Fowler, didn't want to press charges, said Dublin police spokesman David Ball.

"We spoke to the golf course (management), and they agreed to discuss this issue internally with their members," Ball said.

A police report said Fowler phoned the golf club, and then police, at 6:53 p.m. Friday to complain about a tall, white man wearing a blue golf shirt and khaki shorts who was "urinating into some trees." The report said a woman at the pro shop told Fowler "it was Ben Roethlisberger," although officials later disputed it was Roethlisberger.

Fowler didn't return telephone calls seeking comment.

Roethlisberger's group played through without meeting with officers. A golf pro sent to investigate the complaint did not locate the group. The club issued a reminder to members to use public restrooms.

Country club executives, Roethlisberger's agent Ryan Tollner and the Steelers declined to comment on the incident.

Roethlisberger has been under scrutiny for his actions since a Georgia college student in March accused him of raping her in a bar restroom. Detectives found no evidence to arrest him, but the incident caused NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend Roethlisberger for up to six games.

I got in trouble from peeing on a golf course last year......who would have known you are not allowed to pee on the practice green????? :goodposting:

I don't understand why she called police if she didn't want to press charges. If it bothers you call the golf club to complain, don't bother the police with this kind of nonsense.

Multiple reports alleged that Roethlisberger was the guilty wizzer, but the Dublin police issued a denial, claiming another golfer in the party was the real perp. Given that the police arrived after Roethlisberger's group left, how exactly would they know?

I could see this as a problem depending on the placement and direction individual was facing.

Google Map

Maybe it's Google Maps, but the landscaping looks atrocious.

I played golf on Monday and one of the guys in my foursome actually urinated on the course twice. Come on get a life.

Depending on how close to this person's back yard it was, I can understand the lady being upset.

That said, it doesn't sound anywhere close to conclusive that this was Roethlisberger.

I'm not sure I've ever played around where someone in my foursome didn't urinate on the course
