This was posted just now about Big Ben at practice today.

I think he gives it a go. And being an Antonio Brown owner in the AFC Champ of my dynasty league. This is great news for me.

Hate to admit it, but I'm going to bench him for Yates. Hope it doesn't end up killing me. Already lost Forte, L. Robinson is a question mark but I have to start him...I don't want to take too many chances on questionable guys.

Im not expecting 4 tds, but sf pass def has looked mortal lately. Skelton ripped them up. Ben should do well

PITTSBURGH — Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger practiced Saturday but remains questionable for Monday night’s game at San Francisco.

Roethlisberger sprained his left ankle during a 14-3 win over Cleveland on Dec. 8. He did not speak to reporters following practice, but guard Ramon Foster said the quarterback showed little problems throwing the ball despite limited mobility.



“I could see him playing against the 49ers,” Foster said. “I guess we won’t know for sure for a couple days, but with a late Monday night game and two more days to rest and rehab I think he’ll be all right to play. And I certainly wouldn’t bet against him.”

Roethlisberger last missed a start due to injury in 2009. Veteran Charlie Batch will get the start if Roethlisberger can’t go.

Safety Troy Polamalu (right hamstring) and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (left hamstring) are probable, but the Steelers will be without center Maurkice Pouncey (left ankle sprain) and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (sprained right foot).

Despite indications that he almost certainly will play, Polamalu declined to say he was ready.

“The younger you are, I would think the more repetitions you got the better you’d be,” Polamalu said. “But I, obviously, need a lot of repetitions and wasn’t able to get those.”

Doug Legursky will start at center in place of Pouncey, while Trai Essex will take Legursky’s spot at left guard.

Right tackle Marcus Gilbert (illness) and wide receiver Arnaz Battle (hamstring) are questionable.

Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey has been ruled out of Monday night's game in San Francisco and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is questionable, both because of left high ankle sprains.

Both players sustained their injuries in the second quarter of last Thursday's 14-3 win over Cleveland. Doug Legursky will start in place of Pouncey; Roethlisberger was limited in practice yesterday and yesterday and today.

Safety Troy Polamalu (hamstring) was a full participant in Saturday's practice and is listed as probable, as is right tackle Marcus Gilbert.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Saunders (right foot), outside linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) are also out; wide receiver Arnaz Battle (hamstring), Ben (ankle), CB CBrown (knee) are questionable.

I I picked up Grossman instead of Yates thinking Texans will run a ton, no sure what I will do but Yates/Grossman a lot safer than going ASmith or Batch if Ben is out.

That might be why he asked. God forbid he doesn't know who a beat writer is.Lolley is pretty reliable. Nobody is 100% right all the time, but if he doesn't think he'll play, I'd consider his opinion. Note that he isn't saying he heard anything concrete, either. He's guessing, too.

Why is Grossman going to get destroyed? Pierre-paul is the only defense man playing worth mentioning. Grossman has a good matchup and is an option if needed for the desperate.
