Big Contracts (1 Viewer)

Here is the baseline for my topic and I'll keep it short in sweet before I go into detail. Why is it that some players who get big money seem to "quit" in this business? First off if you feel you have an answer feel free to pitch in, leave a link etc.If this is to long to read simply don't read it and don't put dr;tl. Its a broad question but I am just starting fantasy football and if I knew this than it would help in the future draft strategy wise. Here we go: Chris Johnson is a perfect example, got payed big money than has yet to even capture half of what he did years ago. What do you think causes this? Unless NFL players go on this site to check out how well they think they will do in this weeks game I will assume those reading have normal routines jobs etc. If you personally all of a sudden got promoted at your job and got tons of money would you simply say "meh I don't need to do anything anymore." ??? I find it hard to believe one gives up because of money. What about family, living conditions and the short shelf life of a player? Marshawn Lynch did somewhat the same thing in the offseason. No trouble in three years until he gets paid and than gets a stupid DUI? I know all the variables can be different but big money contracts seem to be a constant and everyone warns against drafting a player just getting paid. Should I avoid them in the future?
