Big Ten Basketball 2022/2023 - Return to Power (1 Viewer)

#1 in the West.

If both advance, would neet Kentucky in the final 4.
Not sure WI will make it that far. Probably give up before then.
Odd of you to try copying the trolling of Stratton.

My point was dead on at the time i made it in that game.
Not really. The only bad play was that Dekker pass other than that I'd give credit to Mich St for playing really well not that the Badgers looked like they were giving up. Dekker looked gassed though for the last part of the game.

How many dunks on being lazy around screens? How many loose balls and rebounds did NSU hustle after during that stretch that put them up 11. I guve MSU credit too...they hit shots and hustled and,Wisconsin was just going thru the motions at that point.

Or maybe you could just be . . . . . . . . WRONG!
Could be...but the dont think i am. They played far different right after i said that and in OT. Hustled more, vot the rebounds...and it paid off.

Getting out hustled for a five minute stretch equals giving up? All teams have stretches like that doesn't mean they are giving up. Sorry Sho but you used a very poor choice of words. Don't think I've ever seen a Bo Ryan team give up.

I don't think I have either...which is why I said it looks like they have. a few minutes later...they proved that wrong.

And glad they did.

Not sure why so much fuss over that comment given the way they were playing...but whatever.

Obviously everyone wants their preferred team to make a run as deep and far as possible, but, in addition to that, I want to see the entire conference do well in the NCAA tournament. Let's get it done today Ohio State and Purdue.

I like the chances of at least one win from everyone except Indiana.

Purdue has won at least one game in 14 straight appearances. Obviously that's their ceiling this year but I would be happy with a win and not looking like a high school team against ky.

I'm calling for the upset over Kentucky, but there's a possiblity I'm either an idiot or drunk ... or both.

nervous for the hawkeyes tonight. they've gone from a 7 pt fav down to a 2 pt fav. plus after their showing in the B10 tourney, who knows what'll happen. hoping for the best though!

Matt Painter should be fired. Dude has had every chance to win there with IU being down for the last 10 years and he's accomplished what?

Calling the timeout at the end of the game cost his team the win. Then he sounded to me like he threw his team under the bus in the presser.

Next man up....

Michigan State, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Maryland.

If this tournament wants to be crazy, Tom Crean will show them crazy!

He missed the shot, but Russell dominated against VCU...

Nice win for Ohio State.
Thad with a great coaching job.

Mixed in some zone when it was clear VCU was beating them off the dribble too easily.

Went small when VCU went small and ran man defense being able to switch all picks.

But biggest of all...the VCU trap was causing tons of issues for the first 10 min or so of the game. It still had moments as the game went on, but Thad made some adjustments to the offense and they were getting wide open layups and open outside looks out of the trap.

Major props to keeping Diop on the court too late in the 2nd half...he hit a few big shots and didn't cost them anywhere that I remember.

Well WSU/IU went about how I expected. No defense on the dribble, some sloppy turnovers, hit enough 3's to keep it interesting.

Is Crean history? If so, who would IU be able to get?

The Terps played their typical ugly game yesterday. I hope all of the talk early in the season about Layman going pro has been put to rest. He laid a complete egg yesterday and it damned near cost them.

MD/WVU tomorrow is going to be some unpretty basketball.

Yeah, Layman has completely regressed over the last several games. Only one shot attempt yesterday. He's not looking to drive at all anymore.

Rebounding was a problem, again. Defense was good, again. As always, the free throw percentage discrepancy (75% to 56%) was a big factor. You're just not going to win many games in this tournament shooting 56% from the free throw line.

Rewatched that last play a bunch of times today, and it looks like it was probably a foul on Ram. Of course, the officiating was generally atrocious throughout the entire game, so...

I really, really doubt Indiana fires Crean, by the way. No shame in losing a close game to a criminally underseeded Wichita St. team.

guess i was worried for nothing. on to gonzaga
I'm looking forward to this game. If Iowa plays Gonzaga like they played their last game with tough defense and White being aggresive we might have a shot.

I'm worried about woodbury/olesani guarding zaga's bigs. Don't think Iowa can play much man on them, but the zone D has been pretty good all year

Good games by Sparty and Bucky.

Good game by Trimble for the first 32 minutes until he finally got KOed. Rebounding (again) was the biggest issue, followed closely by the turnovers and the uncalled muggings.

Sorry to see you go, Dez. Ditto for mister energy, Graham. Ditto for Smo and Pack, despite Smo's dumb-### play sometimes. At least he started shooting better the last couple games.

Really looking forward to Carter on the boards next year.

Disappointing end to a surprisingly good season.

Good luck going forward, MSU & Wiscy fans
