Fun fact. Washington is the only Pac12/Big 10 school to ever go 0-12. There is no chance in hell they go 12-0. 3 losses minimum. They had softest schedule in Pac 12 last year avoiding both USC and Utah and lost to a horrid ASU team and UCLA. They were fortunate against Oregon that Nix got hurt in 4th quarter while driving to go up 2 scores.

Everyone came back. I don’t think they go undefeated, but one loss is my prediction.

As a UW alum and lifelong fan I hope the OP is right but I think the Pac-12 is too strong this year for any team to run the table.

They do get Oregon and Utah at home but have to play USC and Oregon St on the road. I don’t see them winning all 4 of those not to mention a couple other tough road games.

If Penix Jr stays healthy they’ve got a great shot at winning the league.

Looking forward to watchin' the Longhorns' last season in the Big 12. Still think it's a mistake to bolt for the SEC but ah well.

I've read rumblings that Ewers may be slightly overrated and that Arch might overtake him. Don't know if there's any truth to that but stranger things have happened. All I know is I'll miss seeing Bijan torch defenses. Hoping Worthy is the real deal and that we can find a suitable RB to carry the load.

Hook 'em!

The fun fact that UW went 0-12 fifteen years ago is irrelevant. The Ducks went 4-8 seven years ago. So what.

Agree about the terrible loss to ASU last year. UCLA was a good team, though. So 11-2 was a pretty good season.

Nix missed 4 plays in that UW game and came back in for Oregon’s final drive that would have been a game winner. Didn’t happen.

I agree that UW will not go 12-0. No Pac-12 team will go undefeated.

This should be an exciting (and sadly) final season for the conference.

Washington went 4-8 the year before last lol. They hit lightning in a bottle with Penix and a super soft schedule. Nix doesn't get hurt Oregon wins easily last year period.

Agree it should be a fun year though.

My point is that past records in college football really don’t mean much, especially now in the era of the portal.

And Oregon “wins easily” if Nix plays those 4 extra plays? We’ll have to agree to disagree on that.

ESPN is just disappointed by this whole re-alignment thing.

Amazing
F#ck all the TV execs
F&ck the Pac 12 leadership
F@ck the Pac 12 defectors

Now Furd and Cal in the ACC?? Didn't Cal almost get rid of sports a few years ago?

ACC makes a move to save itself from disintegration. Great schools to add especially academically. But man, for the sports that aren't football, that's a major budget travel hurdle to overcome (Cal is basically broke). And Atlantic Coast Conference is gonna need a new name.

The president of Stanford should be fired for ending up in this situation. With all they have to offer this is what they end up with? And I'm an ACC guy. I do think this will eventually pull Notre Dame in as a full member in 2036 though with them getting a larger % of the network $s (if this isn't a far fetched scheme for ND to break the ACC and join the B10).. Maybe with a north and south division

FL State
MIA
Duke
GT
Clemson
WF
NC State
UNC
VT
UVA

BC
ND
Stanford
Cal
Louisville
Pitt
Syr
SMU
(Cincinnati) ... eventual add
(WVU) ... eventual add

Also think out of conference games will eventually go away. Maybe 1 per year.

Its comical to me people are just now waking up and claiming that "realignment is killing tradition." How about putting Miami in the Rose Bowl 20 years ago? What about two 6-6 teams playing each other in a bowl game on December 30? Tradition in college football went out the window with the Bowl Coalition in the early 90s. Everything that's happened since then has been completely predictable and really the only direction things could possibly go.

Luckiest team in the nation this year by far. Should have lost a number of games including at home to ASU.

Sorry, boss. No one "lucks" their way into the National Championship game.

Take the L and move on.
