Big Ups to Joe Saunders and Bud Selig (1 Viewer)

Apparently, Joe Saunders is the only Virginia Tech alumni playing in the bigs, and tonight he threw six shutout innings in the hat. Classy thing to do, and good job by Selig for oking it. And from the fantasy side, he's off to a halfway decent start. Not great k/bb or K totals, but a 1.96 era.

Over a decade into his tenure as commish it's nice that we finally found something to praise Selig about. Too bad it only measures 7 1/4" in circumference.

Well, Saunders was rewarded by being sent down to make room for Bartolo Colon. Kelivim Escobar is also due back on Tuesday.

Between injury issues with Colon, Weaver and Escobar, you'd have to think Saunders will come in handy again sometime this season.

Saunders is a pretty decent prospect for the Angels so his success wasn't a shock. Great guy to have stashed away in keeper leagues.
