I'll be specializing in Texas Hold Em (a game where you are dealt two hole (face down) cards and then one is burned (discarded face down) before the flop (when three cards are turned over (cards dealt face up commong to every player)) and then another card is burned (discarded face down again) and then the turn (a single card dealt face up which is common to every player) and then another card is burned (discarded face down again) and then the river (a final (last) card dealt face up which is common to every player). Betting (wagering money) takes place pre-flop (before the first three cards are turned face up), after the flop (see previous), on the turn (see definition of turn above) and on the river (see definition of river above). The winning hand is the best five (more than four, less than six) card hand among the seven (more than six, less than eight) cards available to each player (person in the game))."
