Biggest busts after 3 weeks ? (1 Viewer)

Whoever had the first three picks in redraft this year in your league can't be happy. Unless they had the nads to go Rice..

Edit: I forgot about ADP - Sorry big man. Foster, Charles and CJ owners are probably pissed.

Jared Cook. He didn't need to be top 10 or anything but actually catching a few meaningful balls games didn't seem like too much to ask. He is as overrated as they come. If he was as talented as everyone has said for 5 years now he would have already emerged. I can't believe I got burned by him again. Bitter owner but not for long. I don't care what he does going forward it won't be for me after watching backup TEs win the game for the Titans this week.

This is only Cook's 3rd year in the NFL, so I don't think people were talking about how talented Cook was here when he was still a Freshman in college. Although he definitely hasn't been great so far, I still has so much upside that if have big enough benches he's worth holding onto and just leaving on the bench for now.As for who is the biggest bust, it's no question gotta be Cook's teammate Chris Johnson. Top ~5 pick who hasn't even had double digit fantasy points in a game yet.

Maybe not fair, but it's worth calling Gates a bust. He gave his owners a healthy zero and a late scratch to find a tablescrap TE at the last minute. For where he was drafted, very disappointing.

Gore, Greene, D-Williams, and Moreno all screamed "DON'T TOUCH ME" in all draft formats. You took a serious risk by picking those players, and now you're paying the price.

Obviously the loss of Jamaal Charles was hard to swallow for anyone. Chris Johnson just baffles me- he's plain lost out on the field and seems to get worse each week. Now that Britt may be lost for a while, I wouldn't be surprised to see his YPC dip to under 2.0.

Watching SNF right now, another good candidate is Mendenhall. In fact, I encourage everyone to go out and put Issac Redman on your bench ASAP in redraft format if he isn't already snatched up. Mendy just isn't getting it done.

Receiving wise, Gates is a wasted 3rd round pick, though the writing was on the wall. Roddy White has been unimpressive, though he's at least shown flashes of worth. I think the odd playcalling in Atlanta will balance out over the next few weeks as the team is staring at a 1-2 record in the paper.

DWill without a doubt. Before the season started all implications pointed at a big year. New Contract, Rookie QB...

I don't want to call Reggie Wayne a bust; def not yet, def not with the current QB. It's all about the situation, and has nothing to do with being nearly 33 or in his 11th season.

That said, his PPR production makes him look like my WR4.

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'...

MWTB is becoming unstartable for me. Not good when I have guys like Denarius Moore & Nate Washington on my bench, either of which could easily supplant Mike in my lineup

Gotta be Chris Johnson (after 3 weeks anyway) because of his lofty draft position.
How could it be anyone else? He absolutely sucks and now that he has his money it will be curious if he has what it takes to play for some pride. Considering he was a top 4 pick in most drafts and has shown NOTHING, I think you have to label him THE bust so far. At least with Foster you figure he'll perform once he is back on the field and he has an injury to explain why he hasn't done anything. Charles would have been fine most likely had it not been for the injury so I don't consider him a bust (although I feel for the folks who spent an early pick on him). Johnson, however, just sucks.

D. Jackson. Guy isn't even sniffing being the lowend WR1 top end WR2 he was drafted to be. Awful and just looking worse every week.

For the preseason hype he got in the Shark Pool, Lee Evans.
:no:If we are talking about preseason hype, we are talking about Mario Manningham.
Forgot about that (probably because I discounted it).I suppose some fell for it, but I can't believe anyone who watched Michigan when Henne was the QB or anyone in the northeast who gets the Giants bought into it. Been watching him drop passes for six years (and usually following it up with a spectacular highlight reel catch). He's been on my do not draft list for 2-3 years.

CJ/Ingram
Think most who drafted Ingram had an early season Plan B for the RB2 spot. Seems like he had a good day, and I expect him to continue to develop. I started Matthews today (and also have Best), and I doubt very many went all-in on him. I just want him to be a consistent producer come November-December and he's a success.

CJ/Ingram
Disagree with Ingram. He was taken in the 4th and 5th rounds. Guys taken in these rounds are typically top end RBBC backs and/or not defined GL backs. He's a guy you have to wait on, and allow to mature. The team certainly hasn't given up on him. Not like say, Deangelo Williams for example.

A guy getting injured doesn't make him a bust. Just bad luck for his owner.
If said guy is Mike Vick and you knew his propensity to get hurt from all of his scrambling he does, and the hits he took in preseason behind a shaky line, then yes, Mike Vick is a bust.Jamaal Charles. Discounting injury he wasn't getting it done anyways. You could see Chiefs' struggles coming a mile away.there was no way he was coming close to last years numbers.Without a doubt Dallas Clark is one of the biggest busts out there, relative to his ADP.

:goodposting: I drafted him as rb3 rd 5 with eyes beyond opening weeks...still feel he will burn those that bail on him.

If you want a good laugh, drop in that 12 page (and counting) Ingram thread. Lotta panic from people who have been starting him *(or think they should be able to start him). They're bringing him along. Looked better today.

Charles was still averaging over 6 yds per carry before the injury. The team around him was crumbling which was likely going to hurt his situation but calling him a bust seems harsh imo.

I saw what Tanner saw in preseason, and dealt Charles for McFadden and Denarius Moore. Think that worked out ok.

First two weeks were disappointing, but Roddy had 9 receptions for 140 yards tonight... not bad, if you ask me, especially in PPR. He doesn't make that absurd (and uncharacteristic drop) and he as another reception, another 15 yards and a TD.I feel good about him going forward.

Nicks had a decent week one, but has struggled since. He is such a terrific talent can't imagine him not turning it on, but so far not a lot for your investment.

Yeah if that were me, you'd have to talk me off the ledge.
